The Law on Succession primarily covers the law of descent, both testate and
intestate, based on the New Civil Code (NCC) provisions on Succession (Articles 774 to
1105), as amended by the Family Code of the Philippines, special laws, and applicable
jurisprudence. Related provisions of the law on Property and Persons and Family
Relations are also discussed during the course.
