definition :

 Essentially,  freelancing is a different way to work. Consider it as a

mid-way. how a freelance job is one where a person works for themselves,
rather than for a company or .

Freelancer is a self-employed person who offers services , often working on

several projects for multiples clients at one times .

While freelancers do take on contract work for companies and

organizations, they are ultimately self-employed.

A freelancer may work part-time or full -time and at any span of time
that he /she desires. this is because , basically , there would be no fixed
working time like office hours . this would give the freelancer the benefit of
freedom in working hours and working place/environment .

freelancing is when you use your skills, education, and experience to

work with multiple clients and take on various assignments without
committing to a single employer.

Why are people freelancing ?

Flexibility to decide how, when and where to work :

One of the biggest perks of being your own boss is that you don’t have to ask anyone’s
permission to work from home, start late or work while you travel. You decide your own
business hours and you choose where to work from. If that means taking Wednesdays off to
visit your grandma or working late into the night and sleeping until noon – so be it!

Flexible Hours :

The first advantage of becoming a freelancer is that you can work whenever you want. You
get to choose your own hours. If you want to sleep in until noon, you can do that. If you want
to take the weekend off so you can explore the city, by all means, go for it.
Freelancing is also a form of entrepreneurship :

which means the freelancer has total control of their earning potential. Freelancers aren’t
locked into a salary, and so they can earn as much as they are able to bill to their clients.

And as a freelancer, you are your own boss : You are free to do as you please, when
you please. Making all the tough decisions just became your responsibility; you have all the
control.

Freelancing provides a lot of variety in the type of work you can do, too  :

If you are someone with a lot of interests and are drawn to trying new things, freelancing can
help you explore all kinds of projects and industries.

Gain experience :
you can also gain experience so working as a part-time freelancer is a great way to get some
experience in an area where you're not really getting good experience at your existing work
Choosing your own clients :
you’ll also have the freedom of choosing the clients you actually want to work with. And
that’s a wonderful feeling! Whenever you feel like you don’t mesh with the client’s
personality, don’t like someone’s attitude or payment terms, you can shift your energy to
finding a new gig .

3. what are the risks of freelancing :

It can be a lonely world :
If you work from home all the time and have little interaction with the outside world, it can
get lonely very quickly. also Working from home can be isolating. As a freelancer without
employees, you have no interaction with management, staff or other employees.
Irregular payments : Being a freelancer also means that you run the risk of not getting paid.
Your monthly income will depend entirely on the amount of work you manage to do as well
as on the goodwill of your clients!

Lack of Benefits

As an independent contractor, you do not receive employer-provided benefits such as vacation

pay, health insurance and other common perks.

health risks :

Distinguishing Between Work and Personal Time :

Being your own boss and working from your home also means that it can be difficult to
distinguish between your work time and your personal life. This means that you can work
long hours and never make time for your personal interests.

4. differents services of freelancing :

These freelance skills are the most prized :
Graphic Design
If you have some design skills, there are all kinds of different services you could provide
as a freelance graphic designer. You could specialize in one area, or offer a variety of
different services. There is a great demand for quality designers, and with so many
different possibilities, there is no shortage of opportunity.
Here are just some of the types of graphic design you could offer:
Logos
Book/ebook covers
Social media graphics (especially Pinterest) and blog graphics
Illustration
Packaging design
Infographics
Web Development
While web designers are responsible for the look and feel of a website, web developers
focus more on the coding. You’ll definitely need coding skills, although that can be
learned.
Some designers and developers will handle the visual aspect as well as the coding, but
developers may also handle things like coding mobile apps, more complex database-
driven websites and web apps, as well as software development.

conseils :
Freelancing is a business, first of all. Most people treat it like a job. So if you treat freelancing like
a job, you will get paid like that. But if you really want to do some progress with freelancing,
then you need to focus on 4 things.
Your mindset: So you need to be strong, driven by your passion and you must have to
maintain a healthy life to keep you warm.
Skill: This is very important for a freelancer. You must need some skills to sell. There is
no point to do freelance if you don’t have any skill at all. Now, if you are new, then first
develop a skill, then go for the next step.
A place: For freelancing, you need at least 2–3 productive hours daily. And you can not
work in a place where you get distracted, right ? So whatever small it is, make sure you
have a place where you can block your 2–3 hours.
Finally tools and strategy: For tools, you need a computer, internet, and other stuff. For
strategy, there are a few popular ways.
***Freelance Marketplace: Join any freelance marketplace like Upwork, Freelancer,
Guru,... Create a stunning profile. Start bidding. Get clients. Do a good job to get great
reviews which will help you grow in that marketplace.
***using Facebook, Linkedin, etc. Start Cold pitching them on a regular basis. Invite them
to join a Free discovery call. Tell them about your service and how it can help them solve
their problems and then make a deal.
