“Multicultural Education in the Philippines”

REFLECTION
The idea of having a multicultural education can be viewed from many various angles, but there
is no clear definition for it. Multicultural education, on the other hand, can be described as the
incorporation of cultural consciousness from many ethnic groups on education as the inescapable
result of social reality. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to learn at school, regardless of
their gender, social class, or ethnic, racial, or cultural traits. Due to the variety of learners in society,
it is essential that multicultural education be implemented.
In Bendum, there were many people who could read and write, but they lacked the occasion to
see the value of a more responsive education that supported ongoing learning. The APC (Apu
Palamguwan Cultural Education) program grew over time to become what it is today. An Indigenous
People's community school with a basic education program that incorporates local knowledge.
Learning about all cultures is important, and learn more about the diversity and variety of human
creativity. Understanding the current activities in Indigenous Peoples' education is necessary to
comprehend diversity in a developing society. The goal of a multilingual and culturally based
education is to value each individual and their culture, so that it will preserve for the coming new
generation.
