Welcome to the PBF CCI User Guide

Important: Before you proceed, please ensure that your MetaTrader 4

platform is upgraded to the latest version – Version 4.

You can see your Version number by selecting Help>About from the
dropdown menu:

You platform should be Version: 4.00.

Your platform should have already updated automatically but if not,

please run LiveUpdate.exe which can be found in your MetaTrader
broker’s folder (normally in Program Files).
Once you have installed the PBF CCI and updated your platform, start
MetaTrader 4 and launch the Navigator:

The PBF CCI is located in the Custom Indicators drop-down menu.

Double click on the PBF CCI and it will be applied to your chart.
How to Use the PBF CCI
The PBF CCI is a versatile indicator that is capable of producing a wide
variety of buy and sell signals. It can be used to identify overbought
and oversold levels, it can be used to find divergences and it can be
used to find trend-line breaks.

It can be used as a stand-alone indicator and trading system or it can

be used in conjunction with other indicators for confirmation.

The PBF CCI has three lines. Unlike the standard MT4 CCI, the PBF
version is smoothed and colour coded, meaning it gives far fewer
false signals, is easier to use and is much more reliable.

The White Line (red or green when overbought/oversold) gives

clues as to reversals. When the market is overbought and the colour is
red, we should look for shorting opportunities. When the market is
oversold we should look for opportunities to go long.

The Green Lines are the +100 and -100 areas and make it easy to see
when the market is overbought or oversold.

The PBF CCI can be used on any timeframe and any instrument.

You can adjust settings in the Inputs tab of the indicator:

You may want to experiment with different variables to suit your

trading style. The CCI Period is generally good at the default 14 for
Forex trading, but feel free to experiment.

Let’s take a look at some examples:
Short:

In this example, the CCI is red and crossing the +100 line. This is a
good time to short the market. In a strong trend, the PBF CCI is a very
useful tool for confirming the end of a pullback so you can re-enter or
add to an existing position. The red vertical line indicates our entry
point.

Long:

In this example, the CCI is green and crossing the -100 line. This is a
good time to go long. The red vertical line indicates our entry point.
