Nursing is a profession that requires lots of skill and science knowledge in order to do its job well. Scientific management is useful in nursing profession because it helps improve nurses sense of well-being, which is important in a profession where nurses experience high levels of stress and burnout. A nurse can utilize scientific management as a tool for continually improving nursing care by using it to develop improved working methods, refining clinical judgement skills and promoting knowledge transfer between nurses. Scientific management is a form of job planning that involves the analysis and evaluation of an individual’s job and the duties that they have to perform, planning out their tasks and duties, this will be used as a guide when it comes to performing the job. This is also useful in scheduling out time so that the employees are going to perform their duties properly and are not wasting time doing unnecessary activities. Scientific management is created in order to try and determine what tasks are important, what jobs are going to be done and how to get them done most efficiently. The use of scientific management will allow nurses to streamline their paperwork by using data analysis to reduce the amount of documentation that is needed.
