Foreign elements
- A factual situation which cuts across territorial lines and is thus affected by
the diverse laws of two or more states is said to contain a foreign element

Acts of the state doctrine


- The act of state doctrine is one of the methods by which States prevent their
national courts from deciding disputes which relate to the internal affairs of
another State
-the other two being immunity and non-justiciability.

Jurisdiction
- The power to hear and decide cases

Extradition
- Is an intrusion into the territorial integrity of the host state and a
delimitation of the sovereign power of the state withtin its own territory
