Ingredients:
Vine leaves – 200 gram
3 cups of Water
1 teaspoon of salt
2 Onions – (medium size)
1 /2 cups Olive oil
2 cups of rice
1 tablespoon of tomato pasta and pepper pasta
A pinch of dried mint
A pinch of Black pepper
Materials;
Lemon juice ( ½ of a lemon) o A strainer
o A pot
1 lemon o a desert spoon
o table spoon
o wooden spoon
Preparation:
1- Peel the onions, wash and chop them finely.
2- Put them in a pot together with olive oil.
3- Cover and saute for 15 mins over low heat, stirring occasionally.
4- Wash and drain the rice well and add to the pot and stir a coupleof times about 3 or 4
mins.
5- Add tomato pasta and pepper pasta and stir them, too.
6- Add black pepper, hot pepper and boiled water.
7- Close the pan lid and let them cook untill the liquid is reduced.
8- Wait untill the liquid is reduced and add mint and spices and the lemon juice.
9- Leave the cooked rice covered for 5mins.
10- After 5 mins. place the vine leaves on the table or a plate put a dessert spoon of rice on it
and wrap by one by.
11- After wrapping all, put wrapes /dolmas in a pot nicely.
12- Add boiled water slowly to the pot.
13- Cook over a medium heat about 40 mins.
