GO
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
GAME SCRIPT:
Welcome to the GO Money Wind Machine! The aim is to grab as much money as you can in
30 seconds. Anything you catch, you keep. 2 of you will go in, 1 at a time, to win your team as
much money as possible. The only rule is you can’t pick up any money from the floor- you
have to catch it from the air!
COMPLETED GAME:
Team members should count the number of notes they have collected.
Each note is worth 500 Monopoly pounds. For example, 50 notes will equal £25,000 to be
added to their total.
BRICK LANE

INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Brick Lane is right in the heart of Hipster London. Famed for street art and curry, this game
suitably combines the two!
GAME SCRIPT:
A famous piece of street art has fallen off the wall in Brick Lane. Can you put it back together
within the time limit?
INTERVENTION:
This room should be able to hold the whole team to take part in this puzzle but some may be
further away from the art work than others.
The token can be a little more generous with hesitations if they are struggling
COMPLETED GAME:
Puzzle is complete. Clock will stop and room will alert to success.
● Know why it’s called Brick Lane? In the 16th century, the ground in the area was
discovered to be full of clay, useful for creating bricks and tiles. After the Great Fire of
London, demand for bricks increased. A kiln was installed at the northern end of the
road, and bricks were transported down the length of the street to Whitechapel Road.

PADDINGTON STATION
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Train stations give you the ultimate freedom. If you own a station
and land there, you can use your train to travel to any space on
the board for FREE. If someone else lands on your station they
pay you rent and, if they use your train, they pay you for the
ticket.
GAME SCRIPT:
The train timetable at Paddington is reliably unreliable. Take in all the information on
the board before it disappears. When it does, put all the information back in the correct
position.
INTERVENTION:
Cast to understand the ‘beam break’ element of the game.
COMPLETED GAME:
All the missing information will be returned to the correct position (see picture above).
The deed card will appear on the screen.
The room highlights the win.

PORTOBELLO ROAD
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Portobello road is famed for its weekly antique market and Mr Monopoly is a regular visitor.
He’s come across an unusual, old pub game that he’s been unable to complete yet!
GAME SCRIPT:
Use the space below the targets to roll the balls up the slope and try to get them to land in the
holes in the board. You’ll need to get a ball in each of the lit up holes to win!
INTERVENTION:
COMPLETED GAME:
All three holes in the board have had a ball go through them and the lights are extinguished.

INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
You will be pleased to hear we aren’t ‘In Jail’ we are just visiting;
but Monopoly is a game of chance and you never know when you
might end up in there. This is your opportunity to win a Get Out Of
Jail Free Card (or £50,000).
GAME SCRIPT:
It’s time for a quick game of ‘higher or lower’’. Make your way through the row of cards,
predicting if the next card is ‘higher’ or ‘lower’. Remember, Aces are high. If you fail the first
row, you get another chance to win. If you want to, you can change the first card.

DOWNING STREET

INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Downing Street has been the residence and offices of the Prime Minister of the United
Kingdom since 1735. Many a famous face has called this place ‘home’ but how many do you
know?
GAME SCRIPT:
Take the pictorial representations of former Prime Ministers' names and place them next to
one of the portraits on the wall. When all are in position, press the button to see how many
you’ve got right! You have three chances to get them all correct before you are forced to
resign.
INTERVENTION:

All plaques are in the correct place and all the painting lights are switched on.

TV SUBSCRIPTION
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Utilities give you influence over the board. If you own a utility you can sabotage other teams,
by cutting the supply to one of their properties. In this case, the TV Subscription. This means
they can’t collect rent for three rounds, unless they pay you for returning the service.
GAME SCRIPT:
Hack into Mr Monopoly’s Monopolix account. He has carelessly left his login details behind.
However, his password has been translated into a cypher. He has a poor memory so has left
prompts around the room. Find the cypher and break the code.
INTERVENTION:

HIGH HOLBORN
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
High Holborn is the located right next to the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, one of
England’s four Inns of Court and is a hotbed for lawyers and legal practitioners. You’re about
to step into one of their offices.
GAME SCRIPT:
How do judges in the UK let off steam? That’s Right! Whack-A-Mole! In pairs, you’ll face four
30 second rounds of whack-a-mole. Beat Mr Monopoly’s High Score to win the property.

FREE PARKING
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
GAME SCRIPT:
Here, you get the chance to spin the Wheel of Fortune. As you can
see, there are some good outcomes on the wheel and some bad
ones. You will have three spins. After each spin you can choose to ‘stick’ with the result or
‘twist’ and spin again. If you spin three times, you must accept the result of the third spin.

SHAFTESBURY AVENUE
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
GAME SCRIPT:
You must conduct a crowd pleasing concert. Take positions at the music stands. Use the
buttons to follow the music and press them in time with the sequence on the screen. Wrong
timing will disappoint your audience. Score more than 35,000 to please the crowd!
INTERVENTION:
● Take a podium each and only focus on that line and colour only.
● Try to time it with the music.
● Press the button a little earlier than you think.

ST PANCRAS STATION
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Train stations give you the ultimate freedom. If you own a station

GAME SCRIPT:
Mr Monopoly is trying to take his precious tokens on holiday with him but they have to get
tickets of their own. See if you can spot them in his luggage as they go through the scanner.
Tap the screen when you find it and move onto the next bag.

ALDWYCH
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Aldwych is the location of St Clements church which has been immortalised in the line of the
poem ‘Oranges and Lemons say the bells of St Clements’. Turns out, our Aldwych is also all
about Oranges and Lemons! Coincidence??
GAME SCRIPT:
Place an orange or a lemon in one of the three holes at the top of the maze. Tilt the maze as
the orange or lemon falls through and try to get it to land in orange (for oranges) or yellow (for
lemons) spaces at the bottom. All 6 spaces need to be filled in order to succeed!
INTERVENTION:
COMPLETED GAME:
All 6 of the spaces at the bottom have an orange or a lemon in the correct spot.

GO TO JAIL / JAIL
[If you land on ‘Go To Jail’, press the siren button and other
teams boo the group heading to jail. Tokens ensure that they put
their team in the jail and press the button to lock them in before
continuing - this is a technical cue].
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
[If they choose to pay the bail, the round is still 5 mins/ 4 mins long. Be prepared to fill this
time with strategising. Encourage them to complete the escape room where possible].
GAME SCRIPT:
You have up to 3 rounds to try and escape jail. As soon as you escape you can get back on
the board. Good luck!
INTERVENTION:

Team will have completed the following steps and released the key to get out of jail.

INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Savile Row is the place to be for Gentlemen’s fashion. At its peak, it was the location of the
finest tailors in the world - only the best for Mr Monopoly! It’s even where the Dinner Jacket is
said to have been invented.
GAME SCRIPT:
Mr Monopoly’s arch rival has stolen his property and he needs it back. The owner of this tailor
shop keeps them in his safe but they’re also quite forgetful and have left clues to the code
made up of his customers' measurements. Open the safe and get Mr M's stuff back!

GROCERY DELIVERY
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Time to get on your bike and earn your keep! There are groceries that need delivering and
they aren’t going to do it themselves.
GAME SCRIPT:
Jump on the bike and pedal as fast as possible between each delivery stop. There are three
deliveries to make and you need to swap with another team member between each one.
Don’t overshoot it or you’ll automatically lose.

KNIGHTSBRIDGE
INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT:
Knightsbridge. Home of the rich and famous. People who can afford this postcode tend to put
high end security systems in place to protect their precious items.
GAME SCRIPT:
A famous art collector has stolen one of Mr Monopoly’s prized paintings. You must steal it
back. Clamber through the security lasers to regain the painting. You must get the painting
back to this side of the room to win the challenge. The lasers can only be broken 3 times.
INTERVENTION:
● If the beam breaks, stay where you are and keep going.
● Slowly slowly wins this race. Be very careful.
● Clear and concise instructions
● There looks to be a bit of a gap at the bottom for a large part of the journey
● Perhaps choose someone a little… bendier…?
● [If have the painting] Try sliding it along the floor while you climb through the maze
COMPLETED GAME:
Painting has been returned safely to the team. Teams have THREE breaks of the laser before the
room fails. When they break the laser, they must return to the side of the room they were on last
before they can continue.
