Week 1 Worksheet

Instruction: Answer the question in not more than 3 sentences. Provide examples,
drawing, and facts if necessary. Each of the question is equivalent to 5 points. (20 points)

1. Plants can reproduce either sexually or asexually. There are those plants that can do both,
like daffodils and strawberries and it has given them a lot of advantages. What do you think
would happen if all plants can only reproduce sexually?

2. Plants that cannot bear flowers have cones to use for their sexual reproduction, like pine trees,
gingko and other evergreen plants. What do you think would happen if all plants bear flowers
and no trees produce cones? Would it have any impact on our lives?
