Ref. No. AMS 086 - 0111

Date: 12th January 2011

Subject: Drive Coupling DLT0704

Machine Range:

DLT0704 (C55-14, C60-12, C65-10, C65HS, C76)

Assembly date ==> All up to August 2010

Symptoms:

Our warranty records show a number of claims referring to failed couplings. This fault
can occur during normal operation of the compressor. The engine will go into high speed
while the compressed airflow and working pressure is zero.
This failure can be caused by:
- Low idle speed against working pressure <1600rpm.
- Fuel filters blocked
- Paraffin excrements because used diesel is not winter fit or to high water content.
- Engine start before pressure vessel is pressure-less.
- To short warm up phase.
- To low oil level in the pressure vessel.
The problem can be resolved by fitting a stronger coupling, new fuel filters and correct
speed setting.

Action:

When the described symptom occur please replace the current coupling by new one.
Needed part numbers are:
- 1x ZS1061213 COUPLING KIT DLT0704
If fuel filters are blocked additionally
- 1x 100014457 SP.CARTR.FUEL FILTER
- 1x 100014458 FILTER FUEL LINE

The parts could be ordered via normal after market channels.

> Before repair, check that all parts are pressure-less.
> Disconnect battery.
> Separate the air end from the engine flywheel housing.
> Change coupling as described in the attached drawing.
Attention: Fit the hub with toothing to air end!!!

> Flange the air end to the engine flywheel housing (fastening torque 48Nm) .
> Check if everything else is connected completely and correctly.
> Renew the fuel filters if required.
> Start the engine.
>Check for leakages and proper idle without conspicuous vibrations.
> After 1 min warm up, push the load button and check if low idle speed is >1600rpm.
If not set it to 1600 - 1700 rpm.
> Test run for 1 hour. Check for leakages.

Only qualified and skilled personnel is allowed to do this Retrofit taking

into account of all safety rules.
