Pokemon Changes
EXP/Growth Changes:
Many weaker Pokémon, as well as all Pokémon in the fluctuating and erratic experience
groups, have been moved to different growth groups so that they require less (or more) EXP
to level up. This means that some weaker Pokémon will have to battle less often to keep up
with their teammates (E.g., Garchomp will have an easier time picking fights than Butterfree,
so Butterfree should need less EXP to level up).
The following Pokémon lines have been moved to new experience groups:
Fast (800,000): Drifloon, Gulpin, Seviper, Illumise, Volbeat, Carnivine, Stantler, Tropius,
Relicanth, Caterpie, Rattata, Paras, Farfetch'd, Drowzee, Goldeen, Sentret, Bonsly, Girafarig,
Qwilfish, Slugma, Poochyena, Wurmple, Plusle, Minun, Castform, Kricketot, Burmy,
Pachirisu, Cherubi, Patrat, Maractus, Dedenne, Numel, Zangoose, Makuhita, Wailmer,
Shieldon, Dunsparce.
Medium Fast (1,000,000): Anorith, Clamperl, Swablu, Cranidos, Feebas, Lileep, Nincada,
Exeggcute, Carbink, Chinchou, Mantyke, Miltank, Tauros, Vanillite, Corphish, Shroomish,
Azurill, Cleffa, Mawile, Misdreavus, Munna, Togepi, Clauncher
Slow (1,250,000): Grubbin
Movepool Changes:
• Because Sucker Punch is now a TM move, some generation five, six and seven
Pokémon that wouldn’t normally learn the move now have access to it. Any Pokémon
that can normally learn Sucker Punch is also compatible with the TM. The following
Pokémon now learn Sucker Punch:
Patrat, Watchog, Woobat, Swoobat, Palpitoad, Seismitoad, Cottonee, Whimsicott,
Sandile, Krokorok, Krookodile, Dwebble, Crustle, Scraggy, Scrafty, Yamask,
Cofagrigus, Trubbish, Garbodor, Foongus, Amoonguss, Frillish, Jellicent, Accelgor,
Stunfisk, Vullaby, Mandibuzz, Froakie, Frogadier, Greninja, Litleo, Pyroar, Pancham,
Pangoro, Inkay, Malamar, Binacle, Barbaracle, Skrelp, Dragalge, Klefki, Pumpkaboo,
Gourgeist, Noibat, Noivern, Litten, Torracat, Incineroar, Yungoos, Gumshoos,
Fomantis, Lurantis, Salandit, Salazzle, Stufful, Bewear, Sandygast, Palossand,
Mimikyu, Bruxish, Dhelmise, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini
• The new TM79 Freeze-Dry is compatible with all Ice-Type Pokémon (and nothing
else).
• The new TM100 Curse is compatible with any Pokémon that can learn TM moves.
• The new Aurora Beam tutor is compatible with most Electric-Type Pokémon, so
they won’t need to rely on Hidden Power Ice!
• The new Aura Sphere tutor is compatible with any Pokémon that is compatible with
TM52 Focus Blast, as well as those that normally learn the move through any means.
• The new Quiver Dance tutor is compatible with many bug types, butterfly-themed
Pokémon (Lumineon) and Pokémon with a dancing theme (Ludicolo, Roserade)
• Some Pokémon also have access to event moves and/or move tutors from previous
games e.g. Cotton Guard Banette
• All the fully-evolved Unova, Kalos and Alola starters are now compatible with TM26
Earthquake.
• These changes are not listed below.
Ability Changes:
• Modified abilities are listed below in bold text, while italic text denotes a hidden
ability. Custom abilities are followed by two asterixis (**).
