What is an Information Report? (Lipooti Fakamatala)


 An information report is a piece of writing which provides factual or true
texts (ngaahi fakamatala mo’oni) about something. For example: an animal

Appearance (Fotunga)
A dog is an animal with four legs, a body, a
head and a tail. It has hair on its body, a long
nose and usually it has a lot of teeth.
Movement (Founga ‘ene ‘alu)
Dogs move around on all four feet. They can walk and they can run very fast.
When they are tired they sit down or lie down.

Dogs sometimes live in the bush and sometimes they live with families. They can

RUBBISH
Rubbish is any kind of unwanted material. It can be small or large and it can be
found all over the country.
Types of rubbish
Rubbish can be small like pieces of paper and plastic. Rubbish can be large like
old cars and refrigerators.
Where Rubbish is found?
Rubbish is found everywhere. It can be seen on roadsides, on the beaches, in our

Comparative and Superlative Adjectives


 are used to compare nouns or to say how nouns are different.
Comparative Adjective
 We use comparative adjective to describe how two people or things are
different.
 Add ‘er’ to the adjective to compare.
Superlative Adjective
 We use superlative adjective to describe a noun by comparing it to two or
more nouns.
-Add ‘est’ to the adjective to compare.

Using of ‘more’ in comparative forms


‘more’ is used when referring to a greater amount and it is in comparative form.
Example:
beautiful - more beautiful Sarah’s painting is more beautiful than Jane’s.
clever - more clever The fox is more clever than the donkey.

Using of ‘most’ in superlative forms.


‘most’ is used when referring to greatest in amount and it is in superlative form.
