Ever since I was young, I have been deeply excited by the concept of color. For most

people, seeing color does not excite any curiosity or interest and is just a normal thing to them.

However, I find the concept of color so exciting, and the ability of our eyes to perceive different

so that we can be able to assign the right colors to the right places.colors are a mystery I want to

understand. Every time we open our eyes, we see color in our environments. Some colors are

appealing to our eyes, and some are not. However, one person may like one color, and another

may dislike it. Everyone has different feelings about different colors. This topic gets even more

complicated when it comes to the fact that some people are colorblind. Color is a broad topic that

covers a bucketful of knowledge I desire to dive into.

When people are designing their homes, color is a crucial factor; they choose the colors

they want for everything carefully and according to their taste (Paakki et al., 2019). Walls,

furniture, floors, ceiling, and soft furnishings are finished in a color that the owner chooses. This

applies to homes, offices, events, schools, and hospitals. There isn’t one place that doesn’t have

color, even if it is just plain white. The importance of this aspect in human life is imminent and

more profound understanding is necessary. It is easy to ignore the presence of color in places like

schools and hospitals; however, color has become an outstanding aspect of homes and events.

Different colors can invoke different feelings and moods in people; therefore, it is important to

understand this so we can assign the right colors to the right places.

Being an aspect, I am so fascinated by, I would love to study more about color and use

this captivating phenomenon in my career. I want to understand color more, so I can use my

knowledge to make people feel better. I would love to be a pediatric nurse and use color in the

hospital to make my patients recover in an appealing environment. I want to appreciate every

color and its impact on the environment, understanding how to use it to make my place of work

conducive.
