A hotel group recruits a successful senior executive from the service industry to transform the
hotel group for the better.
1. Discuss what type of challenges this new executive may encounter in this new position.

- A new employed face many challenges like struggling to communicate effectively because he
doesn’t know all staffs.

-they also face the difficulty in building good relationship to each other.

2. Discuss the types of skills that this new executive may need in this new position.

A good leader must have these qualities;

 Change Management skills- They need to identify opportunities for change and drive the
organization along to burst new run. An often overlooked part of leadership skills, learning
how to manage change can be a key differentiator for leaders.
 Skills Subject Matter Expertise-
 Strategic Thinking- A good leader must know how to handle and run the business well.
 Decision Making- When you’re a leader. You have the power to decide, so every decision
matter because it might help or affects the business.
 Emotional Intelligence- Employee also needs to understand how they feel because most
employee stay when they feel they are welcome and understand in his surroundings especially
his manager.
 Employee Development- and lastly, A good leader must help not just himself and company
but the employee to grow in order to maintain a good and quality service.
