Respondents of the Study

The respondents will be gathered from four (4) distinct category, from the

maintenance staffs, students per department, teaching and non-teaching personnel at

Eastern Visayas State University. With the reference to the university records, the

researchers will ensure that respondents are studying or working at the university.

The proponent selected the maintenance staffs, students, teaching and non-

teaching personnel to be the respondents of the study, preferably the students,

maintenance staff and representatives in every department and offices. The proponent

had come up with five (5) students as respondents having representatives from each

department and year level. From the maintenance staff the proponents decided to

include them all because they have different sections and areas of responsibility

assigned. For the department and offices, the proponents decided to have two (2)

respondents (teaching/non-teaching personnel), specifically the head of the department

or any worker that is available in the office.

As the study will pursue an interview schedule type of survey, the proponents will

use random sampling. The random sampling process will be performed by the computer

through the Microsoft excel program, and for each section the computer will randomly

choose two (2) respondents from the names of teaching and non-teaching personnel,

five (5) respondents from the list of student’s names per department in the worksheet.

For instance, if the proponents will assume a number of thirty (30) students in each year

level, the names of the residents will be entered into the worksheet and the top 1-2

names that the computer will generate will be the chosen respondents per year level.

Thus, there will be a total of five (5) respondents who will be interviewed in the study per
department. Furthermore, as the group of proponents consist of four (4) members, each

member of the group will interview respondents in each department they are assigned.
