PROBLEM STATEMENT

INTRODUCTION

In traditional face-to-face settings, teachers often use the board to


visualize the information and concepts included in the lecture. However, since
the board only has limited space, lectures are being cut short to erase the
writing on the surface. The time-consuming task of erasing writing from the
whiteboard is a common difficulty for both students and teachers, as it
interrupts the learning process of the students and the teaching momentum of
the instructors. Furthermore, common erasers often leave smudges, which
create an unpleasant surface to work on.

IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEM

1. What is the problem or issue?


 Limited space of white boards.
 Smudges that are left when the writings on the board is erased.
 Time-consuming erasing of writings on the board that leads to the
interruption of classes.

2. What factors contribute to the problem?


 Too small erasers or insufficient erasers.
 Too many writings on the board.

3. What is currently being done to address the problem?


 Students erase the writings on the board whilst the teacher discusses.

4. Who needs help?


 Teachers and students.

PRELIMINARY RESEARCH
Whiteboard is one of the most fundamental visual tools that is utilized
when it comes to education. Learning through the use of visuals allows you to
retain information for a longer amount of time. It's been stated that our long-
term memories directly process things like films and pictures. There is a 29-
42% increase in retention with visual learning. Your ability to learn is improved
as a result of this, as well as your ability to comprehend knowledge largely
through images.
The following difficulties highlighted in the identification of problems are
shared by a number of colleges and universities, not simply Isabela State
University (ISU).

PROBLEM STATEMENT
 How can we provide convenience for the learning of ISU students?
 How can we improve the physical learning experience of the ISU
students?
 How can we solve all of the problems mentioned above?
