METHOD:
HCV Real-TM Quant is a Real-Time test for Quantitative detection of Hepatitis C Virus in human
plasma. HCV RNA is extracted from plasma, amplified using real time amplification and detected using
fluorescent reporter dye probes specific for HCV or HCV IC.
Internal Control (IC) serves as an extraction and an amplification control for each individually
processed specimen and to identify possible inhibition. IC is detected in a channel other than HCV
RNA.

INTERPRETATION:
HCV Real-TM Quant is linear from 75 to 1.5x10^8 IU/mL. Test results greater than 1500,000,000
IU/mL are above the upper limit of quantification of test. The test result less than 75 IU/mL are below
the lower limit of quantification of the test.
