some work to do Prior to install:

- better to be disconnect from the internet, or don't allow autocad to connect to internet

(should be a general rule )

- disable antivirus and the likes, or installation deployment may take a long time

to complete or not complete at all

Installation procedure for a single user:

- insert autocad CD

- click network deployment tab and install the network installation wizard

- execute the network installation wizard

- select "create an administrative image"

- select autocad installer file path

(something like H:\BIN\ACADFEUI\ACAD.MSI where H is your CD letter)

- select administrative image location (put a network path there)

- enter what name you like for new deployment

- accept proposed path for network log

- choose network installation and single license server

- use PARADOX as server name and 0 as server host ID (thanks guys!)

- choose client installation path and uncheck silent mode

(you'll be able to choose options again during installation )

- choose installation mode (this is how autocad will be installed by default)

- leave internet explorer 6 box checked, and choose if you want to install express tools

- leave all other option as default and

put 400-12345678 as serial number, and what you like as name etc.

- better to disable live updates

- proceed with installation

- now go to your install image directory and double click the link file to start installation

(the link has the chosen deployment name)

- leave the text prompted in the boxes as is, and complete the install

- copy licpath.lic in autocad 2004 directory

- run autocad

- enjoy
