You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para

New York is a big city in the


United States (North
America). It takes thousand
of visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central
Park, the Metropolian
museum and Time’s Square.
In the picture you can see the
Statue of Liberty, a monumet
built between 1875 and 1986.
It is 93 meters tall. The statue

Roma is capital of Italy, is a city
with traditional buildings and
cosmopolitan that receives
thousands of tourists every year.
In Roma you can do everything,
example: You can visit much
monuments, cathedrals,

very squares and the famous
trevi fountain. In the pinture you
can see Saint Peter’s Square, It
is a place the Vatican city built
between 1656 and 1667 so that
people could gather here. The
Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square Square have 284 columns
arounds and 140 monuments.
Sydney is in the most populous
city in Australia. It’s a coast city
very beautiful and one of
largest cities in Australia. In the
pinture you can see The Sydney
Opera House is modern
architectual work, the theatre
has 1.8 hectares. Was
inaugurated on October 20, 1973.
It's UNESCO World heritage site in
2007. More than eight million
People visit the site each year.

Rome has a

a.k.a. St

obelisk.

Edinburgh is capital of Scotland,
it’s a city elegant and modern,
because has very medieval
buildings, jewels of the Scosese
crown and a new town with
gardens. This city is very popular
for festivals. In the picture you can
see the Edinburgh Castle, it’s
found in center the city and it’s a
place very visited by tourists
because you can see the big
canyon, the memory of the war and
“sthone of Destiny”.

Dubai is a city of United Arab
Emirates, it’s know for its luxury
and modernism. Dubai is
localed in Arabbian Dessert.
In Dubai you can see Dubai
Fountains, a big center mall, the
river Dubai Creek. Also you ca
see The Burj Khalifa that is in
the picture, it’s a Skyscraper of
Dubai, It has 828 meters high,
It’s the tallest building in history
and it was inaugurated on
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) – The Burj
January 4, 2010.

When you finish your work, send the file to your instructor through the platform
