"We need to move fast," said the voice of Commander Bremen.

"The enemy has already

moved in force from their base and is advancing toward our position."

I glanced around, looking for my teammates. I found them standing by their own tanks,
waiting for orders. The commander was still speaking over his radio, giving instructions to
other commanders and tankers. I could hear him telling one of his subordinates that he
needed more artillery support, but there was nothing we could do about it right now. We
were on our own until they came.

A few seconds later, a series of explosions lit up the sky behind us. It looked like the entire
army had been sent into action at once. Our little squad stood there with our fingers on the
triggers of our machine guns as we watched the battle unfold. I didn't know if it was a good
idea or not, but we all agreed to let the battle play out before making any moves. There was
no reason to get ourselves killed just yet.
