IIM VISAKHAPATNAM
The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) belongs to the prestigious IIM family of business
schools. It is a new generation IIM, set up by the Government of India in September 2015. The Indian Institutes
of Management Act 2017 declares IIMs as Institutions of National Importance. llMV was mentored by the Indian
Institute of Management, Bangalore, in its initial years to attain standards of global excellence in management,
research, and allied areas of knowledge.
IIMV is currently located in its temporary, yet state-of-the-art facility in the salubrious Andhra University
campus in the 'City of Destiny; Visakhapatnam. The Institute has begun the process for building a permanent,
full-fledged,word-class campus, about 25 kilometers from the present (temporary/transit) campus.

IIMV is equipped with the latest digital technologies and
state-of-the-art classrooms designed to spark innovative
ideas and collective brainstorming. Despite the disruption
and challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, IIMV
has developed cutting-edge pedagogy and online
classroom infrastructure to ensure that learning remains
a continuous process virtually. Several virtual classrooms
have been developed that can function independent
of the VC platform and can also enable multiple screen
sharing. For the VC Classroom product, in addition to the
sufficient Zoom licenses, the Institute has also procured

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is a statistical methodology that is widely used

PROGRAM SEM models are so general that they encompass most of the statistical methods that
are currently used in the social and behavioral sciences. SEM allows a researcher to
test complex models with multiple pathways, model latent variables with multiple
indicators, investigate mediation and moderation in a systematic way and adjust for
measurement error in predictor variables. This workshop provided the participants a
descriptive theoretical and practical knowledge of SEM, moderation, and mediation.

PERMANENT CAMPUS
The Institute has begun the process for building a permanent, full-fledged, word-class campus on approx.
230 acres of land in the (relative) vicinity of the upcoming green-field international airport, about 25
kilometers from the present (temporary/transit) campus. It is envisaged that the campus would blend with
the surrounding landscape (hills, valleys and water bodies), resonate with and reflect the local architecture,
traditions, culture, history, heritage, art and craft. It is being envisioned that the campus would emerge as
"First-in-class" regarding novelty and uniqueness, and "best-in-class" regarding the optimal use of resources.
The first phase of the new facility is expected to be functional by 2021
