C. Lesson Proper:
1. Motivation: Cite the difference. Show a picture before and after.
The teacher will show a picture of a messy kitchen to learners. Ask the following
question:

b. What are the thing that you can find in this place?

c. What did you observe in this picture?

d. What will you do with these things?

e. Are you helping your parents in arranging, cleaning these things in your
home? How will you arrange your kitchen?

2. Presentation:
Present this situation to the class:
In the Grade 4 class of Mrs. Ruga, some pupils prepared cutouts of
different quadrilaterals. Larry cut a square, Laura made a rectangle, Nelma
prepared a rhombus, alma cut a trapezoid, and Ian made a parallelogram. Their
outputs were neat and they cleaned their mess after cutting.
Ask: What did the children prepare?
Answer: they prepare cutouts of different quadrilaterals.
3. Learning activities:
 Pupils must read the written description of the different quadrilaterals
on the board.
 Lead them to the discussion that quadrilaterals are classified as a
square, a rhombus, a rectangle, a parallelogram and a trapezoid.

5. Application: Group Activity
 Group the pupils into 5 groups.
