Present this situation to the class:
In the Grade 4 class of Mrs. Ruga, some pupils prepared cutouts of
different quadrilaterals. Larry cut a square, Laura made a rectangle, Nelma
prepared a rhombus, alma cut a trapezoid, and Ian made a parallelogram. Their
outputs were neat and they cleaned their mess after cutting.
Ask: What did the children prepare?
Answer: they prepare cutouts of different quadrilaterals.
3. Learning activities:
Pupils must read the written description of the different quadrilaterals
on the board.
Lead them to the discussion that quadrilaterals are classified as a
square, a rhombus, a rectangle, a parallelogram and a trapezoid.
