 Presented with diffuse swelling of thyroid gland

HISTORY OF PRESENTINGCOMPLAINTS:
1. • Diffuse Swelling of thyroid gland.
 Gradual onset and progressive in nature.
 Treatment Taken-Allopathic medicines for 5 years.
 Homeopathic medicines along with steroids for 4Months.
 Result – temporary relief.

1.Urinary tract infection 2 times-7 yrs ago -10 yrs ago
2.Rheumatic fever -12 yrs of age

 Anaemia, jaundice, cyanosis, oedema, lymphadenopathy: No
 BP: 130/90 mmHg pulse:76/beats respiratory rate: 18/min temperature: afebrile

Inspection:
Swelling in the anterior aspect of the neck in the region of the thyroid of size 6×4Cm
Lower border is seen
Swelling moves with degultition
Oval in shape
Surface appears to be smooth
Margins well defined
Skin over the swelling normal, no scar,
No visible pulsations
No dialted veins
Trachea appears to be in midline

Palpation:
• Local heat around affected joints.
