Two philosophers that has the same idea are Socrates and Plato.

Their similarity in their idea maybe

due to their relationship as teacher and student. Their idea was that all human being is composed of a
body and a soul. They both have the idea that a human person has a body that is physical,
impermanent and is imperfect wherein contrary to that, every human person also has a soul that is
not physical, perfect and permanent. They both believed that since human person is composed of
both body and soul and that soul is immortal or eternal, they concluded that death is not the end of
existence since the soul is still alive and that death is simply the separation of soul from the body.

As for another two philosophers who has different ideas, I choose Descartes and Merleau-Ponty. Their
main difference is the belief of mind and body being separate or intertwined. Descartes believed and
developed the Cartesian Dualism wherein it states that the Mind and the Body are are not
intertwined since they the body is in the physical realm while the mind is not. He believed that the
body is subjected to change but the mind is not. On the other hand, Merleau-Ponty completely
disagrees with the Cartesian dualism since he believes that the mind and the body is intertwined and
inseparable. He claims that the body, thoughts, emotions, and experiences from the mind are all
inseparable and all in one.
