A little about Anastasia

Anastasia is a girl of nine and she is

extremely naughty. She also dresses
herself like a boy. Her parents are
very posh but she’s the other way
round.

Her first name is Anastasia, her

second name is Priscilla, her third
name is Matilda, her fourth name is
Gwendoline and her surname is
De Nici. As you will soon see none of
these names fit her. So she is rather
like a tomboy.
A holiday in Gozo.

“Two days more and we’re off!”

shouted Anastasia at 6 am in the
morning. “Wake up! Time to get
packing.”

The household was not up but then

her parents woke up with a jump
when she turned on the vacuum
cleaner as an alarm.

Anastasia’s mum came downstairs

with her eyes still closed and her hair
like a bird’s nest.
“Ouch, my tooth hurts. I’d better go
see the dentist some day”, her mother
moaned.

“Well you’d better go now. I do not

want you with your toothache on
holiday.” replied Anastasia.

”On second thoughts I think it’s

gone”, answered her
mother thinking of the
hassle it would take.

The two days passed

quickly and at that
moment they were going on board the
Gozo ferry. They were only going for
a few days but Anastasia made sure
that their holiday would be fun and
really interesting. She also made sure
that they would not take too many
things so she unpacked half of the
luggage so they
there would be place
for the souvenirs.

They were on the

ship and
Anastasia decided to check out the
captain’s room. So she climbed the
stairs as fast as rabbit and entered the
room hoping to find the captain. He
was there all right and very busy. She
only went to him to tell him one
sentence.

”Not a very fast ship, is it?” she

complained.” I wonder how fast this
ship can go. Speed it up please.”
The Quccija and the
shower problem.

A new member came in the family,

they had a baby and the quccija was
that night.

Anastasia’s mother was having a

problem. She had to wash the baby,
which they named Felicy, and no
water came out of the shower.

When they went out of the bathroom

Anastasia went in, wearing a boiler
suit and with the help of the tool box
she tried hard to fix it. She took a
long time and her mother was waiting
patiently.
Anastasia came out of the bathroom
looking very pleased with herself.
When her mother went in and tried the
shower, water soaked her from head to
toe. She looked funny and both
sisters laughed.

Then the doorbell rang and her father

went rushing to open it. “Anastasia,
find one last thing for the Quccija, I
can’t think of any other object,”
commanded her dad.

Anastasia went to see the objects her

parents placed. There were crowns,
gowns and many other posh things.
She saw these things as too posh so
she placed something really not posh,
a spade full of mud!
When her father came in, he didn’t
agree with the spade but it was too
late to replace it because the living
room was starting to get crowded.

It was time to choose an object and

you’ll never guess what Felicy chose.
It was the spade!
Summer time!

It was Summer and Anastasia was

determined to get all her family to do
sports but first she needed to get some
outfits.

That morning she pleaded with her

mother and managed to go to the
shops.

Since she badly needed a new bathing

suit she used it as an
excuse. As a suit she
chose a glitter
highlighter one.
“Why did you chose this one from all
the choices?” wondered her mother.

“So if I manage to do that backstroke

the whole bay will notice.”

Summer time!..Summer time!

The summer was almost finished and

Anastasia and her cousin decided to
make a plan to get her father to do
exercise.
So the next day at 5 am in the
morning, her cousin knocked on their
door and asked her dad to come
jogging.

He said no but Anastasia came out of

the door wearing a tracksuit, jogging
on the spot and together they pulled
her dad in his pyjamas to start
running down the road.

Training time!
Anastasia goes to a new
school

Anastasia was going to a new school.

It was a boarding school. Her parents
were rushing all over the place to
prepare her stuff and to check that
everything was in place and all. They
were really nervous.

Anastasia was relaxed and sipping

slowly on her glass of milk and not
nervous at all. In fact she planned to
make things fun.

She went by bus to the new school

and anything she saw in her bag that
she didn’t need she either threw it out
of the window or under her seat.
When she arrived, the bus driver
opened the door for her. She was
greeted by the head master. She
greeted him by shaking his hands (her
hands were rather dirty so she left
some prints).

Then he offered to help Anastasia off

the bus. Anastasia got off the bus
with a jump not seeing the puddle of
mud under her feet so
everybody around her
including herself and
the headmaster were covered in mud.

Poor headmaster, he was really hoping

he chose a good student for that
school but he had the feeling that he
had chosen the wrong one.
Anastasia and the postman

The postman always felt terrified

when he passed in front of Anastasia’s
door.

First she would shout “Postman!” at

the top of her voice, then she would
come down (even if she is in a
nightgown) and ask if there’s a parcel.

This time nobody answered

the door so he waited five
minutes and turned back.
He had a big surprise.

Anastasia was digging in his post bag

and hurling the parcels in the air. And
then she asked “Any more packages?”
Clean up day.
Anastasia was bored so she decided to
do a clean up. First of all she pulled
everything out of its place and lined
them up on the floor. After a while
she had to put them all in their places
but there was a problem, Anastasia
forgot their places.

So she put the clothes with the food,

the toys with the scrubbers, the shoes
with the towels, the keys in between
the books and she also packed her
baby sister in the luggage. Oops!

snacks
Later on when her parents came home
from work they couldn’t find
anything. “Where are my shoes?
Where are my clothes?” They kept
asking themselves.

But then they came to the big

question: Where is Felicy?

“I might have packed her in the

luggage,” admitted Anastasia.

Felicy was there, and soon every thing

was found and placed back in its
place. Anastasia sure had a busy day!
Where is Felicy?

Where are my clothes?

Where are my shoes?

Anastasia and the orbies
For the summer holidays, Anastasia
pleaded to go and stay for a week at
Peter and Janet’s farmhouse.

To keep her busy Peter and Janet gave

her some orbies. They were as clear as
crystals but not for long. She decided
to give the animals a foot bath each.

When school
started she took
the orbies with
her and during Janet's to
Welcome Farmmhouse
the Farmhouse
the break, she
tried to sell
them.
A girl asked who had used them and
Anastasia replied, “Oh, they are
hardly used at all. Just the horses, the
cows, the pigs, the
ducks, the chickens,
the rabbits and the
roosters used them
for a foot bath.”
Anastasia and her friend.
From the day that Anastasia left
boarding school and started going
to day school things got livelier.
On day Anastasia forgot her home
work and she told the teacher,”My
friend ate my homework,” “And
who may this friend be?”asked the
teacher sternly.”Why don’t I bring
it tomorrow, then you can see him
for yourself,”replied Anastasia.
The bell rang and without letting
her teacher answer she said,
“Tata” and left happily.
The next day she and her friend
waited for the school bus. When it
came and went in the bus everyone
screamed,”A mouse!”and went
crouching on one side of the bus
and left a lot of free seats for her
friend. Anastasia of course
understanding everything the other
way didn’t notice that the where
scared of her friend but thought they
were being friendly so she said,
“Thank you for the space but my
friend doesn’t take that much space.”
When she arrived at school she started
walking the corridors to her classroom
and almost everyone the saw her
screamed “A mouse!!” and ran of.
When she entered her classroom
not noticing there was no one on the
ground she proudly presented her
friend. “This my friend who ate my
homework.” Then looked at her
teacher’s table and noticed there
was no one on it. Then she looked
up and said,”Miss, why are you
standing up on your desk?”
