Hello my name is minuk and im going to reflect about chapter 4 Image: God loves

In this chapter our goal was to explore what it means to be created in God’s image and how that
should affect the way we view God and ourselves.

As human we are all created in the image of god, which means we were created to worship and
outpour continuously to god. We image God by connecting with God, believing in Jesus Christ,
and repenting of sin. We image God by respecting all human life, particularly the weak,
oppressed, sick, elderly, and unborn. We image God by refusing to live independent lives and
contending for the community. This means we have to cooperate with others and help others as a
community as God has welcomed us. This shows a life that images god look like.

Throughout this chapter, the most memorable topic was “who has best imaged god”.

People often wonder about “Who has best imaged God” in order to be and act like them.
However, it is impossible to be like the one who has best imaged God since we are all sinners.
Many New Testament scriptures declare that Jesus alone has imaged God perfectly.

Many New Testament and Jesus himself also declare that “Jesus is the radiance of the glory of
God and exact imprint of his nature, and whoever has seen Jesus has seen the Father. This
indicates that we are incapable of knowing anything about mirroring God until we look to the
Trinity, and Jesus Christ during his earthly incarnation. Nevertheless, Jesus was able to fully mirror
God since he was the continuous outpourers.

Therefore, in order to understand what a life of love and holiness that mirrors God is supposed to
look like, we must look to Jesus Christ. Nowadays, there are many people who look at sinful
people as our stand for what a truly holy imaging life is. We have to try to be similar to God even
if we can not be the best imaging God.

Lastly, as I read chapter 4, I continued to pray for God and felt it is hard to be like god. Although
I knew its impossible to be the best imaging god, I will keep trying to be similar to god even if im
sinner. Thank you
