The day I met Keira … A 3

1 A few years ago I went to the UK with two friends to study at a

language school in London. The day after I arrived was a very special
day for me because it was my 21st birthday. After our classes finished
we went for coffee in Leicester Square.

2 Then we went to the theatre to see a play called The

Children’s Hour. I wanted to see it because my favourite
actress, Keira Knightley, was in it. We sat in a box and

had a very good view. The play was really good and Keira
Knightley was wonderful.

3 When the play ended we went for a meal in a Japanese

restaurant near the theatre. It was quite crowded, but
the food was great. We had sushi and salad – it was very
nice. After the meal my friends gave me presents and
then the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday!

4 After we left the restaurant we walked past the theatre

again – and there was Keira Knightley! I went over and D 1 E 2
said hello and she was really friendly to me. We talked for
about five minutes and then my friends took some photos
of me and Keira together.

5 When I got home I emailed all my friends in Japan and

told them about my birthday. I also sent them the photos
of me and Keira! It really was a night to remember.
