PRE-TEST

1. World-renowned natural wonders such as an underground river and rice terraces, incredible diving
spots rich in biodiversity, colorful public transportation in the Philippines, unique cuisine, vibrant
festivals that showcase its colorful culture, and friendly locals regarded as some of the happiest in the
world can all be found in the Philippines.
2. The Filipino character combines elements from various cultures. The bayanihan, or spirit of kinship
and camaraderie, for which Filipinos are famous is said to have originated with Malay forefathers. The
close family ties are said to have been passed down from the Chinese. The Spaniards, who introduced
Christianity in the 16th century, are responsible for the piety. Hospitality is a common denominator in
the Filipino character, and it is what sets them apart. Filipinos are probably one of the few, if not the
only, English-speaking Asians today. Pilipino is the country's official language, while English is
considered unofficial.

ASSESSMENT

1. Tourism is made up of four A's: attraction, accommodation, accessibility, and amenities.


Attractions are the elements that influence a tourist's decision.Tourism increases economic
revenue, creates thousands of jobs, improves a country's infrastructure, and fosters a sense of
cultural exchange between foreigners and citizens. Tourism generates a significant number of
jobs in a variety of industries.
2. The country is rich in natural beauty. With many spectacular beaches, sunny weather, and a
diverse bio-diversity. Furthermore, the Philippines' distinct and complex culture. As exemplified
by its people, cuisine, and way of life, draws a large number of visitors.
MODULE 2

PRE-TEST

1. Among the tourism products that will be launched within the year are the La Union Eco Trails,
which will showcase outdoor tourism through hiking; bird watching of migratory birds visiting the
Paoay Lake in Ilocos Norte; and the Find the One Bike Tour, which aims to encourage not only biking
enthusiasts but also families as there will be bike circuits for beginners, intermediate, and advanced
categories.
