INZVRRVATIWE REPORT Name: Oliver O. Nardo II Grade & Section: HUMSS 12-1 Barangay: Lingsat During the counseling process, I asked my client about her problem. She answered "pressure from studying", however this problem is not caused by her family but by herself. She claims that even though her mother is supportive, she still feels like she needs to do her best, excel in every activity and get high scores and grades. According to her, the cause of her problem is academic pressure from friends. She feels like she needs to do the same and have high grades just like her peers because in that way she feels validated and feels belong. She also talked about the different effects of it to her physical and mental health. In the physical aspect, she feels this intense eagerness that she needs to do all her school works at once, resulting to her forgetting to eat. In the mental aspect, she starts to question her own abilities and doubt herself even though she is capable. As a counselor, I presented different solutions that can help solve her problems. The following are the solutions that I have presented for her: time management, however if this does not work trying to make a to-do list can also be effective because it can lessen the overload of information in her brain, having breaks and taking breaths can also make her feel relieved and relaxed, asking friends for help is a good tip because she is not a robot, she cannot do everything on her own and she needs someone to be there for her, and lastly, finding new hobbies to divert her attention, to lessen the stress she is feeling, to recharge, and of course to enjoy and have fun. Based on her experience, | could totally say that also feel the same way as her. The feeling of needing to excel on every schoolwork can really make you feel stressed and burned out. This counselling session has opened my eyes that other people also feel the same way like me. Maybe I could use the solutions that I have said to her to myself also.
