Connect the Dots:

 Each assignment is to connect all nine dots with only four straight and connected
lines. 6points
 The ability to solve the problem is based upon the ability to go outside the
boundaries in reaching the solution.
 Describe how you connected the dots in (Bullet form for 2 sentences). 2 points
• As I connect the dots is first I consider the dots as a number like a
dialed phone number. I started from the number 1 right to the
number 2 and 3 with excesses line down to the number 6 and 8 with
the excess line also, going up to the number 7and 4 back to the
number 1 down to the 5 and 9 so that I can connect all nine dots
with only four straight connected lines.
 Derive insights from this exercise in (Bullet form for 2 sentences). 2 points
• The usual way of presenting this problem is for a creativity thinking
to only give the first set of instructions for example without
mentioning the fact that we allow to go outside the box. And nearly
everybody including myself, when I first saw it, it completely fails to
solve the problem.
