Dear Christian,

Knowing that you'll be visiting our land makes me very delighted. I am aware that you are
curious about learning Filipino traits and characteristics so you can get along with us during your
stay in the Philippines. Let me share some of our common characteristics in the Philippines with
you.

Filipinos have been characterized as extroverted, cordial, sensitive, easily offended, nosy,
garrulous, direct, hospitable, feisty, irreverent, clever, funny, gregarious, joyful, generous, easy
to laugh, gracious, easy to befriend, casual, fun-loving, sensitive, and hospitable. In addition to
dignity and pride, the importance of personal and family honor is emphasized. Families invest
heavily in their children's education and make significant sacrifices. Filipinos learn the concept
of "hiya" (shame) early on. The highest level of humiliation is to be disgraced. The sense of
family and community among Filipinos is very strong. They are also very talkative and enjoy
spending time with friends and family. They enjoy teasing one another, gossiping, making jokes,
and having fun. Rumors spread quickly. Some claim that Filipinos are upbeat individuals who
are frequently negative about the present but always enthusiastic about the future. People living
in urban areas are more exposed to cosmopolitan values. They typically have a more modern and
less conventional style. Rural residents, on the other hand, continue to cherish tradition Despite
the appearance that life is difficult, many individuals are content with their lot in life.

These are just a few of what makes us Filipinos unique, and if you want to discover more, you
can stay longer. I can't wait to welcome you here in the Philippines, my friend. Waiting to see
you soon.

Till then take care of yourself.

With Love,

Marites
