Style 6234C Carbon Fiber Nitrile Binder

Manufactured with a special compound of heat and chemical resistant nitrile rubber
and carbon blend fibers, this product exhibits the highest chemical and temperature
resistance of the entire non-asbestos compressed sheet we offer. Style 6234C is
recommended formatting flanges in applications sealing steam, air, gases, ammonia,
chemicals, and many acids and caustic solutions. It withstands temperatures of
850°F and 454°C with pressures up to 2000 psi. This compressed sheet services
water, saturated steam, refrigerants, hydrocarbons, mild alkali’s and acids

The pressure/temperature graphs shown are the most current method of determining
the suitability of a gasket material in a known environment. Use the pressure and
temperature graphs to select the most suitable material for your application.

1. In area one, the gasket material is suitable using common installation practices
subject to chemical compatibility.
2. In area two, appropriate measures are necessary for installation of the gasket
to ensure maximum performance. Please call SEPCO USA for assistance.
3. In area three, do not install gaskets in these applications without first
contacting SEPCO USA's technical support service.
