The thick road dust is blocking majority of the view. Still lazuli eyes were concentrated on the road but
the mind was somewhere far in the clouds. Bike is nearing the town. She drives to the first pub she sees.
Governed by hunger she gave an order. Waiting for her food to be ready she examined the room. It was
quite decent considering the location and the town itself. Stylish wooden furniture, big clock right in the
middle of the wall, thick dark brown rugs, and a lot of light. Everything looks clean and neat.

This could easily be a place for young couple to go for a dinner. She chuckles as her thoughts drift to her
sister and sister’s uptight girlfriend. They both would certainly like this place. She could imagine three of
them having dinner there.

Her sweet dreams suddenly faded as she noticed colorful flyer on the far corner. She walked up to it and
read: “Pen pal program! We connect hearts all over the world! Sign up to receive your first letter! Silver
cup Street, 3rd house”. What a funny poster. She was getting bored anyway. The only person she writes
is her sister and her therapist she has regular sessions with. She sometimes gets lonely in her travel so
this is exactly the thing she needs. She resolved to go the address next day.

Noticing her food is already laid on the table, she smiles and walks back to her seat, feeling like
something interesting is about to start.

Lux

Twenty-one, twenty-three, twenty-four. A bit less books to study this time. Lux couldn’t remember last
time she had fun. Only kind of fun she can think of is reading about other’s adventures or romance
stories. Her biggest adventure till now has been sneaking cookie away from the kitchen and her lover is
a library shelf. She so desperately longed for something to change and let her free from the golden cage.
A nice thought to have, right?

After studying for about 2 hours, she decided to take a break. As she headed out for a walk, she passed a
group of students discussing something. Her eyes fell to the poster lying on the table right in the middle
of the group.

“What is it?” Lux asked before she could think.

“Flyer we picked up from the outside” one of the students said.

Lux already started reading it. “Connect hearts all over the world”. Might as well try it. But since she was
nowhere near the address written, she figured sending letter there would work. She slided out her
notebook and jotted down one more task in her to do list. Even as she went with her business, she had
weird feeling that lasted till the end of the day. The same one heroes in her books had when adventure
was about to begin.
