Phân biệt thì Hiện tại Hoàn thành và Hiện tại Hoàn thành Tiếp diễn.

Chia các động từ trong ngoặc theo thì HTHT hoặc HTHTTD. Để phân biệt, hãy dựa vào sự khác biệt: 

– Như đã trình bày ở mục 1 của bài viết này, so với thì Hiện tại Hoàn thành, HTHTTD cũng có chung chức năng
diễn tả một hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ, kéo dài tới tận hiện tại và có thể kết thúc hoặc tiếp diễn tại hiện tại
nhưng còn  nhấn mạnh rằng hành động diễn ra liên tục, không gián đoạn.

– Bên cạnh đó, thì HTHTTD còn có thêm 2 chức năng khác giống thì HTHT:

+ Diễn tả một hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ, kéo dài và kết thúc trước (gần) hiện tại nhưng kết quả vẫn còn
hiện hữu ở hiện tại. 

+ Dùng để nhấn mạnh vào khoảng thời gian ai đó đã làm gì từ quá khứ tới hiện tại. 

– Đồng thời, thì HTHT cũng có một số chức năng mà thì HTHTTD không có.
