Travis Rempel

University Student | Aspiring MLT

Contact Dear Victoria Marchuk,

778-867-2299 I am interested in working for your company as a Lab Technical
travis.rempel@hotmail.com Assistant to further my knowledge and skills in a laboratory,
www.linkedin.com/in/travis-rempel and because like LifeLabs, I want to assist people in striving for
a positive and healthy lifestyle.

I am currently a fourth-year university student at Kwantlen

Polytechnic University taking a four-year Bachelor of Science
degree with a major in Health Science and a minor in Biology. I
will be enrolled part time for my final semester at KPU this Fall
semester. In my academic career I gained book knowledge,
hands-on laboratory experience, as well as lab and academic
paper writing skills through courses in Biology, Chemistry and
Physics. Relevant courses include Advanced Cellular Biology,
Molecular & Human Genetics, Human Anatomy & Physiology,
Microbiology I & II, and Organic Chemistry I & II. My laboratory
experience includes microbial cell culturing & biochemical
identification, DNA extraction, isolation & PCR, Gel
Electrophoresis & blotting techniques, Microscopy, Distillation,
Chromatography, IR Spectroscopy, and NMR.

My favourite lab experiment was in Microbiology II where we

used a multimethod approach to isolate and characterize
potential Streptomyces from a soil sample.

I am an aspiring Medical Lab Technologist and will be entering

the Medical Laboratory Technology Science (MLTS) program at
College of New Caledonia in January 2023. I believe this job is
crucial for healthcare and is in constant need of employment.
Therefore, gaining knowledge in this field through this Lab
Technical Assistant job will give me experience before entering
the MLTS program.

I am available for part-time or full-time employment starting in

October 2022. I would like the opportunity to discuss
employment opportunities at your company.

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I look

forward to talking with you.

Sincerely,

Travis Rempel
