BEECHCRAFT 55 & 58 (BARON) MAINTENANCE RECURRENCY TRAINING

Overview

This is a theoretical course in the general maintenance of the BEECHCRAFT 55 & 58 (BARON). A thorough review
and explanation of the BEECHCRAFT 55 & 58 (BARON) Maintenance Manual and the Engine Manual is provided
with emphasis on routine maintenance.

Duration

The course is two (2) days.

Pre - requisite: Have completed the initial training for the above mentioned aircrafts
Pass Mark: 70 %

PRACTICAL ELEMENT
The practical training element shall consist of the performance of representative maintenance tasks and
their assessment, in order to meet the following objectives:

 Ensure that maintenance personnel retain its knowledge on maintenance, inspections and routine
work according to the maintenance manual and other relevant instructions and tasks as
appropriate for the type of aircraft, for example troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments,
replacements, rigging and functional checks such as engine run, etc, if required.

 Correctly use all technical literature and documentation for the aircraft.

 Practical assessment must determine a person's competence to perform a task.

EXAMINATON STANDARD
The examination will be written and practical and comply with the following:
 Format of the examination is of the multiple-choice type. Each multiple-choice question have three
alternative answers of which only one is the correct answer.

 The examination pass mark is 70 %.

 Penalty marking is not to be used to determine whether a candidate has passed.
