Conclusion

Finally, personality and development is a complex yet fascinating topic. Many theories

and methodologies have been presented to explain how people’s personality is formed. Some

models are superior to many in explaining personality development. Freud was a trailblazer in

the psychodynamic discipline, and his cognitive structures notion was the most useful in that

approach. Selye’s GAS hypothesis was an instrumental and significant notion in the

neurobiological model.

Regarding the trait model of personality, Cattell’s factor analysis technique and ordered

order of the sixteen personality components are the most relevant concepts. Lastly, the most

pertinent notion of the cognitive model is Albert Bandura’s social learning concept of modeling.

Although I believe that the ideas mentioned in this article are the most fitting in their

hypothesized model, they are a tiny share of the area of personality concept.
