JOB DESCRIPTION
● Prepares the machine and equipment for incoming patients.
● Hooks incoming patient to the prepared monitoring equipment
● Adjust the ventilator setting according to the patient's needs as ordered by the doctor.
● Takes full responsibility in the care of the patients assigned and their surroundings
● Make accurate observations, report and record pertinent data of patient under her care.
● Carry out doctor’s order correctly.
● Plan and implements nursing interventions depending on the condition of the patient.
● Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions.
● Participate in emergency measures during cardiopulmonary arrest.
● Makes and receives proper and accurate endorsement of condition patients/patients assigned
under care.
● Follow doctors rounds and assists doctors in the related procedures.
● Collects, sends specimen and follow up results.
● Provides emotional support to both patient and family.
● Reports to floor-in-charge nurse/head nurse regarding breakages, losses and malfunctioning of
equipment.
● Inform and remind the floor-in-charge nurse/ head nurse on the needed supplies and equipment.
● Communicate to the concerned/attending physician any critical values in timely manners.
● Complete all nursing documentation before the end of the shift.
● Makes and receives proper and accurate endorsement of the condition under care using the
approved communication tools as per policy and procedure.
