GRAPHING USING TECHNOLOGY

Are you having trouble graphing manually? Maybe some of you will say yes and others will say no. But, have

you ever wonder that there’s a technology that can help you graph things easily like Desmos, Mathway, and etc? Its a

amazing right? Graphing functions is drawing the curve that represents the function on the coordinate plane and by

putting it in technology can really make our lives easily. In my opinion, technology can really help us in graphing but I

think its much better if we will learn it in ourselves manually.

Using graphing tools in a graphing class is that graphing helps you see numbers in different ways. Graphics

also help you learn, organize, compare, and discuss information more quickly. Not only does it help you in school, but it

helps you identify things around you in all aspects of your life. As a student, I should have more knowledge of

mathematics and understand it better, but sometimes I get confused. It is clear that drawing skills are different when

using technology. Some tasks that are normally difficult for students, such as choosing the right scale, are made much

easier with technology. You can replace the time you spend learning how to properly place lines on paper with the time

you spend learning how to choose the spacing between lines in software. Either way, you should spend some time on

visual design principles and why you need a horizon line in the first place. A problem with using technology for

graphing is that it can make the task of graphing too easy, especially if the goal is to use the graph to determine

relationships between variables. A mind that perceives a task as easy may not be able to devote enough energy to it,

reducing the mind's ability to distinguish patterns. Confirmed by research on effectiveness and a Veritasium study on

effective science videos. Minds that are not sufficiently challenged by the task of character recognition or because of

misunderstandings thereof are minds that are less likely to learn. Another technology you can use is an online graphing

calculator. Instead of buying a physical graphing calculator, you can access online graphing calculators online, enter a

function, and graph it. And then the chart will appear on the screen. You can click with the mouse on various points in

the graphic.

In conclusion, graphing functions can help us in many ways but as a student, its better to learn graphing

manually before jumping to technology. Graphing manually can learn quick and easy to use and make visual sense.

Drawing a graph of a function can be a useful way of understanding it, but you are better off doing that by hand. Its

better if you’ll know how to do it manually bacause some of it does have disadvantages like some apps cant be use

offline or the answer is not accurate or not connected because its just a program. Technology can really help us in many

ways but don’t depend your life unto it.
