The initial process in setting the climate for culture as a competitive advantage is to define the culture.

Organizations must identify the driving organizational values, beliefs, and behaviors that will help the
company in serving their customers in order to define their existing company culture. The second step is
to align the culture; business leaders must turn their company values into ongoing norms of positive
behavior within their organization. Lastly, business leaders must support the business environment and
solicit feedback from key stakeholders in order to monitor the culture and practice continual
improvement in strategy, people, and operations.
