Habitat (200 x 300 cm) Vinyl on Concrete wall. April 2016

This is the first part of Urdimbre, a mural painting series commissioned by CEDECO (Community
Development Centre) in Loma Bonita, Tlaxcala. The front part of the building is a welcoming word which
2
attends to be an open invitation to explore the space disregarding sex, age or religion.

Golden (400 x 300 cm) Vinyl on Concrete wall. April 2016

This is a visual game involving metallic shapes complementing the rainbow-like pattern below. Giving the sense

4
of infinity and proposing an unexpected horizon between earth and sky.

Sunset (600 x 250 cm)
Vinyl on concrete wall. October 2017

This mural is a progression of the

Urdimbre series. Based on Mexican
weaving, this project is looking to wrap
any building into a colourful installation
taking the conceptual part of this
6
proposal outside of the theory and
making the streets a living gallery.

In order to leave a mark on a corner, it was possible to organise a social
project where family and friends contributed to paint a gift shop in a
marginal area of the city of Puebla. In this case, the achieved product relied
on the action taken by the participants, who were members of the same
community, even myself.

Artist Statement

The mural projects developed with COARCO: These Murals depict a

traditional Mexican weaving, which is an analogy of how individual

actions inside a community influence one another. The colours are

selected by contrast and equivalence and are embedded in

symmetrical shapes, which create a kaleidoscopic background for

the everyday activities of educational and community centres. The

purpose of my work is to involve everyday activities and individuals

into the art world to establish a conversation with the viewer, inviting

them to acknowledge their belonging to a realm that appears

completely detached from reality but that is not. Striving to

emphasise and endorse the importance of inspiration, critical

thinking, and visual deciphering in every aspect of our life.
