    ADDITION OF INTEGERS

    Adding of Integers is the process of finding the sum/total of two or more integers.

    Rules in Addition of Integers


    Rule 1. When adding two like signed numbers, add the absolute value of the numbers then affix their
    common sign to the result.
    Examples:
    1. 3 + 5 = 8 2. -4 + (-8) = -12 3. -1 + (-1) = -2

    Rule 2. When adding two unlike signed numbers, subtract the absolute value of the numbers then
    affix the sign of the larger/bigger number to the result.
    Examples:
    1. -3 + 5 = 2 2. 4 + (-8) = -4 3. 1 + (-1) = 0
