 Process of curriculum change and development
Change is a constant law of nature it always occur continuously changes
and ongoing almost unconscious process that involves reworking
familiar elements into new relationships of 30 is dynamic and not static
it changes from time to time changes occur in social ideals customs and

society all the programs of the school including the curriculum and
change in accordance with the social changes

Curriculum change:
Curriculum change means making the curriculum different in some ways
to give new position or direction this often means alteration to its
philosophy by way of Aims and objectives reviewing the content
including raising its methods and rethinking and evaluators procedures
Hence, curriculum change is the process that involves change in the
educational system program structure and objectives leading to changing
in a approaches to teaching and learning as well as changing to student
learning outcomes
According to Gilbert, curriculum change is not a process
 Forms of curriculum change
Curriculum change may take place in the following forms:

1. Substitution:
One elementary place an other previously in use example or new text
books new equipments are the replacements of teachers and
administrators

2. Alteration:
This change involves change in existing structure rather than a complete
replacement of the whole curriculum syllabus are courses of study

3. Addition:
This is the introduction of a new component without changing old
element are pattern without seriously disturbing the main structure and
content of the prescribed curriculum.

4. Restructing:
Discovery kulam change involves the rearrangement of the curriculum
in order to implement desired change it may also involve the sharing of
resources among the group of school or institutions.
 Types of curriculum change.
Curriculum change maybe hardware type or software type:

1. Hardware Type:
These changes are introduce by addition to facilities such as new
classrooms equipments books and play groups.

2. Software Type:
Fact the content and range of the curriculum itself they may be related to
the method of delivery recommended by curriculum initiators designer
and developer.
