TWITTER ADS

THAN KS FOR BUYING!

After reading many threads, forums and blogs and didn’t finding
people who are advertising on Twitter, I will try to describe
everything clearly (attention, lots of text, so please be patient).

I’ll start with a minimal lecture…

Twitter is one of the top ten social networks in the world in terms
of active users (ranked third: 330 million monthly users and 145
million daily active users, which is 40% of the total). It is a
platform for sharing ideas, real time information and relevant
news, well, and just sharing pics that are not meaningful
(cats/dogs/landscapes/cars/yachts/selfies) so this social network
keeps millions of hashtags in it. It’s a place where people come to
see and participate in the conversation about almost everything
going on in the world.

Why not use Twitter ads to reach your target audience?

Especially since users aren’t overloaded by information (yet)
with ads and are fairly loyal to commercial content.

Back in 2017 I came across a page of the well-known

company “***ZZ***”, in which they were quite honestly
spinning “upcoming
news” of their studio. . You go to the tweet, which will welcome you
with the notification “The following media includes potentially
sensitive content” and after it appears a “View” button, which warns
you that if you agree, the mid-roll in the form of a video clip will be
available.
At the beginning and end of the video comes the integration of the
studio itself and at the bottom is a link provided, which when
clicked takes you to a pay-link with a choice of package and price
category and if you join their membership, you’ll get access to all
the new stuff.

“Interesting”…. I thought. And in my head at that time came up with

a “brilliant idea” – to advertise traffic on the dating site through
twitter, because at that time the niche was completely empty and
not busy. I assume that you already have a huge number of
questions, but let’s go in sequence:

1) For whom and for what objectives would Twitter ads be

appropriate?

2) What formats are available and when is the best time to use
them?

3) How much does it cost to advertise on Twitter and how can

you set it up?

1. At the moment it is a treasure for advertisers, because it

shows
great results (which I will show later). Twitter’s audience is
divided into specific communities. It’s a very “local”
community, it’s not Google Ads with huge coverage of
everybody. That is why advertising on Twitter needs to be
approached wisely, but for certain tasks it is really the best
advertising platform, because the main purpose of
advertising on Twitter:
– Interest (Twitter tries to show you ads that would be interesting
and useful to you, thus it has exactly the same developed by AI,
according to which it adapts for interest, age, language, geo and
others. In short, in the same way it collects information about the
user (like any other social network) and broadcasts your interests);

– interaction (watching videos, installing applications, visits to the

site, likes and retweets, followers, clicks on hashtags);

– App re-engagement (open, update, or take action on your app

with an app re-engagement campaign).

As with all sweet offers, there’s always a little but… Twitter ads
are banned from promoting 18+ content… So, a little thought +
logic and we get a recipe for success. As the well-known saying
goes: “If you want to
live, you have to know how to spin,” which is why once again we
have to resort to a system of “modifications” (about this also a little
later)

2. There are several ways to promote on Twitter, but I will only

tell
you about one that I have worked with. This is a “promoted
tweet” with which we can relay information to our future
leads. We can promote text information, images, GIFs,
videos and polls. And a huge plus is that the information can
be shown to a specific audience (in this case, those who are
interested in Dating), but not to all subscribers (we do not
need to get followers who will follow our Twitter – no), it
means that we do not need followers at all.
3. Twitter is using an auction model, considering the size of
the bid, the ad, the intended target audience, and the
competition. Consequently, the pricing model depends on
the type of advertisement, but in our case we will pay only
for clicks. The
system works with post-pay (I hope you understand what I
mean). The average price per click ranges from 0.5 to 4
dollars (but personally in my example it was less).

So, now turn to my manual: what, how and why.

Step 1.

Let’s start by creating a Twitter account.

We create it under a woman’s name. In the bio we write an

interest in “new acquaintances, meetings, relationships or
relationships without obligation”. On the avatar, preferably, put
some young pretty girl (for your choice), but without 18+, so that
the profile would correspond to a real person.

Step 2.

Go to Ads Twitter Manager and click on “Create campaign” After

which we directly fall into the creation of our future campaign.
Step 3.

We see a wide range of goals that AdsManager is able to do, but

we are only interested in one: “Website clicks”, in order to get our
future CTR hooked up to the PP and to earn cash right now.
Step 4.

Next, we look at the details of our company. We give it a name

and then prescribe budgets. Daily and total. Accordingly, we can
make a test run, for example, $10 and then modify our campaign,
according to what we are more interested in. (I started with 30 $
total, +/- 10 bucks in a day, for a more detailed sampling and test).

After that, we choose “Autobid”. Twitter recommends launching it

through autobid, after which it will decide on the further cost per
click to purchase the best displays for users of the social network.

In “Demographics” we enter that we are interested in both: men and

women.
Be sure to set the age of majority (18+), but in my case I put 25+ to
make all payments, and then set older: “And up”.

So here we go! We see that our ads will be interested in at

least 43.7 million users. In the language we put English (since
we are primarily interested in the EU/US/AU region).
After that we see the Devices setup.

Here we choose “Android 10 and above” + “iOS 10 and above”.

I would like to point out that this is one of the most important
aspects, since we choose Android 10 and above because people
are more solvent
+ in some Networks there are problems with payment from
android below 6.0, so if we do not pay proper attention, you
run the risk of advertising in 0.
After that, we see “Targeting features.

Here we prescribe all the keywords (I’m not going to tell you
mine) on the topic of dating, meetings, relationships, flirting, and
other things. In short, doing keywords targeting on interests.

An important aspect: in the interests necessarily prescribe

“Society – Dating”, so that our targeting was as accurate as
possible.
Let’s take a look at “Placements”. Here we choose “Profiles” and
“Search results”.

We choose these two threads and after launching we can already

manage the placements, because we will already more or less
have some information after the first day of advertising. That is,
conventionally, if we have good work only profiles, then leave them
and remove the search results, and vice versa. In my case, both
showed results when I set up, so I left both.
And now we get to one of the most fundamental and final settings
of our future campaign – “Twitter Audience Platform”. We check
the “On” tab and check all the formats.
Now for the most responsible part of the job. If you look closely at
the orange exclamation mark, we understand that without creatives
we can’t talk about any targeting.
Step 5.

Creating an advertising tweet and uploading banners.

First of all, we need to create our tweet with a link, which will be
advertised, as well as upload banners (here you need to
practice, think and imagine what you would like to see at the
user’s place). As I wrote above, Twitter is a closed community
for insiders, so banners that we upload in 99% of cases will be
twisted on Twitter itself and also on partner web sites

P.S.: after all the “operations” we see these statistics on the

audience:
Step 6.
Creating a “spacer”

Now we need to create an external link in the form of a spacer. I

used sites.google.com to create a “spacer”, including increasing
trust from Twitter.
For this I downloaded the first picture I found for the background
and
entered a trivial question: “Are you over 18 years old?” Created the
form with the answer only “Yes”, as it creates interest from the
user, because now he is very interested in what is behind this
answer, because our user is looking for “18+” to brighten up his
evening, respectively, he will click this button without the slightest
doubt and reflection.

After clicking “Yes” the user falls into our funnel and sees the
following (one example, I have a total of 12)

And after that fall on our land (also expanded into 8 different pre-
lands):
Step 7.

Traffic expansion

I used AdsBridge tracker for traffic expansion, because I

have been working with it for a long time and got used to its
interface.
Create two different expansion channels for different devices. In
our case these are iOS and Android. What are we doing it for? In
order to monetize traffic by 100% we specify the expansion, since
some providers pay ONLY for iOS and ONLY for Android.
ONLY for Android.

Step 8.

View statistics. How successful is our test?

After our ad runs and gives us stats (like spinning off our $10
test), we can see these stats: 197 visits and 132 clicks. That’s
pretty good for a start.
Then created 2 more accounts (3 in total). For different mail and
different payment cards (virtual cards to help) and connected
everything to iMonetizeIt (after the test looked offer to Australia
and retargeted all the traffic there, because payments were very
sweet on the prediction) IMPORTANT NOTE: Tweets, creos and
hashtags should not be the same, so you have to be creative.
Result:

Affiliate: iMonetizeIt
Offer: Dating
Geo:
Australia
Source:
Twitter Cost:
~$30 Profit:
~$200

Thanks to the features used, iMonetizeIt offers and Twitter – all

worked themselves to the fullest. ROI shows just a crazy figure at
minimal cost! Twitter has shown itself quite loyal to this kind of
content, if you bypass their rules. Australia is quite profitable,
especially as a test, and the “iMonetizeIt” once again showed
itself as a trusted partner.

Conclusion: with imagination, critical thinking, free time (3 hours

were spent on everything, all subsequent – passive), a small sum
and being a partner of iMonetizeIt you can make money literally
“out of thin air”.
