This device encodes video signals input on two lines by AVC/H.264 and encodes audio signals by various standards, and
multiplexes and outputs these encoded signals as MPEG-2 transport stream.
Input digital video signals (SMPTE292M and SMPTE299M) are encoded in real time, and MPEG-2 transport stream is
output as DVB-ASI signals and IP packets.

⑤ ASI-OUT1 (75Ω BNC type)

This connector is for output of the MPEG-2 stream signal (DVB-ASI signal).
The same stream as ASI-OUT2 is output when multiplexing two encoded transport streams
(TS-MUX=ENABLE) or when encoding only one video (VIDEO MODE=SINGLE).
In other cases (TS-MUX=DISABLE or VIDEO MODE=DUAL / 3D), the TS1 stream is output.

⑥ ASI-OUT2 (75Ω BNC type)

This connector is for output of the MPEG-2 stream signal (DVB-ASI signal).
The same stream as ASI-OUT1 is output when multiplexing two encoded transport streams
(TS-MUX=ENABLE) or when encoding only one video (VIDEO MODE=SINGLE).
In other cases (TS-MUX=DISABLE or VIDEO MODE=DUAL / 3D), the TS2 stream is output.

⑦ SDI-IN1 (75Ω BNC type)

This connector is for digital video signal (SMPTE292M, SMPTE299M) input.
Video input from SDI-IN1 becomes "VIDEO1".

⑧ SDI-IN2 (75Ω BNC type)

This connector is for digital video signal (SMPTE292M, SMPTE299M) input.
Video input from SDI-IN2 becomes "VIDEO2".

In case that Mode is DUAL, video from SDI-IN2 is synchronized with clock derived
from SDI-IN1. Therefore, the error of inputting video from SDI-IN1 causes damage to
encoding video from SDI-IN2.

changed to the backup. Therefore, it causes two videos to be asynchronous and
damage to encoding video from SDI-IN2.

Event Codes
Event codes are registered to logs when an event is generated internally on the encoder and are
displayed on the encoder's display panel. A message also is displayed together with the event code
on the display panel.
The event code list shows log codes, messages displayed on the encoder's display panel, ALARM LED
and WARNING LED states, severity of events when SNMP is used, TRAP transmission record, event
category, etc. For "ALARM" and "WARNING", "○" indicates "LED lit", "x" indicates "LED out" and -
indicates "unrelated item." "Severity" indicates the severity of events in SNMP. "Trap" indicates TRAP
transmission as a default setting. "Type" indicates the category of events in SNMP. The event
categories are as follows.
TYPE1: Abnormal input signal event. These events are deleted from the table when a restore event
is generated.
TYPE2: Events caused by hardware malfunction. These are not deleted from the table until a
system reset or power OFF.
TYPE3: Serious abnormalities that require a system reset. These are not deleted from the table
until a system reset or power OFF.
TYPE4: Abnormalities that occur momentarily. These are deleted from the table 30 seconds after
they occur.
Event code values not mentioned in the event code list are treated as reserved values.

ALARM CTRL is the relay contact output that indicates the encoder state.
When the encoder is in a normal operating state, a short is formed across Alarm Common and
Alarm Open and across Warning Common and Warning Open.
Memo When an alarm occurs, a short is formed across Alarm Common and Alarm Close and across
Warning Common and Warning Close.
Relay output is done at relay contacts, and can be controlled up to 30 VDC, 1A (resistance
load).

Alarm states are output when the power is turned OFF, during initialization of the encoder, or
Memo when an alarm cause is generated. Alarm LEDs light interlocked with alarm generation.

Warning states are output when the power is turned OFF, during initialization of the encoder, or
Memo when a warning cause is generated. Warning LEDs light interlocked with alarm generation.

A system reset is applied to the encoder when a reset is input. A deadband of 100 ms is
provided for reset input, so add an input of the same time or greater following a reset input.
Memo A system reset is applied by shorting across RESET and RESET COMMON. Drive the reset
input at a resistance of 300Ω or less. (The discharge voltages are RESET (+12 V) and RESET
COMMON (0 V). )

Use the following connector to fit ALARM-CTRL:
