Introduction and Overview
Thank you for purchasing Styles Set #52, with 20 great new “Praise & Worship-2 ” styles for Band-in-a-Box.
Following the success of our Styles Set #18, Praise & Worship, and in response to many requests for more of the same, we
are pleased to bring you this great new Praise & Worship-2 collection.

Nashville guitarist and producer, Mike Harrison used ‘live’ MIDI input from Guitars, Keyboards and Drums to
create these styles. They’re inspired by some of the best contemporary Pop-Rock grooves found in today’s Praise and
Worship music genre - emulating the rhythms of groups like; JarsC, MichaelW, Avalon, BrianD, ScottU, KellyC,
DarleneZ, RebeccaS, Creed, DayOfF, Devotion, PaulB, StevenC, Sixpence, RichM, RachaelL, ToddA and many more.

The 20 styles in “Praise & Worship-2 ” cover ballads, slow, medium and faster tempos, in even 8 th and 16th feels,
4/4, 3/4 and 6/8 meters, Pop and Rock styles. As these styles represent contemporary Pop-Rock sounds, (styles like
PW_68GRV.STY, W_AVA.STY, PW_MARK.STY, PW_SIX.STY, PW_CLAY.STY, PW_BRIAN.STY and more), they
make a great addition to your style collection – whether you use them for Praise & Worship or just as stand-alone Pop-
Rock styles. Some of these styles use 5-string bass featuring low bass notes down to B1.

Incidentally, effects like reverb, chorus and panning are not embedded in a Style. These settings should be set and
saved with the tune from the main song page and we encourage you to do so – especially for Pop, Rock and Country
genres. Guitars, Strings, El. Pianos, el. basses and drums can be greatly enhanced with these effects. Remember to save
your tune with these settings (Alt-F2).

Here is an easy way to check out these new styles and demos. Open any style in the Styles52 folder, then, use the
Jukebox to audition the demos and styles. Tip: Uncheck ‘Change Melody instrument’.

Here’s another way to check out the styles: Press the “STY” button to get to the “select style” window. If you scroll
to the end of the categories list on the left, you can select the “Praise & Worship-2 52” category, then highlight the
individual styles and press the “Load song demo button.” It’s a good idea to un-check the “Auto-change Melody
instrument” so that you’ll hear the correct demo melody instrument. You can also sort the styles by Styles Set number if
you like. More detailed information about each style is available by pressing the Memo button of the Demo tune.

The Demo tunes for these styles follow the same naming convention as the styles themselves. For example, the
DEMO song for PW_68GRV.STY is PW_68GRV.MGU.
