WORK EXPERIENCE
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection May 2022 – Present
Division of Fish and Wildlife; Bureau of Marine Fisheries – Summer Worker Port Republic, NJ
§ New Jersey Fish and Wildlife is dedicated to the protection, use and management of New Jersey’s fish and
wildlife resources.
§ As a Summer Worker, I work closely with a Marine Biologist to assist with fieldwork and data processing duties
of fishery research projects conducted by the New Jersey Bureau of Marine Fisheries.
§ My responsibilities include working aboard boats in the ocean, bays and rivers while setting nets/pots,
processing, quantifying, and measuring biological samples. Other duties include processing, entering, and
validating data collected during fishery surveys as well as assisting in the preparation of scientific report
publications. Maintenance responsibilities include maintaining boats, trailers, and related biological equipment.
§ Fish species identification, fish dissection techniques, otolith processing, and eDNA sampling are valuable skills
for this job.

Wildlife Technician Egg Harbor Twp., NJ
§ ACUA is responsible for enhancing the quality of life through the protection of waters and lands from pollution
by providing responsible waste management services.
§ As a Wildlife Technician, I worked closely with a Wildlife Biologist to deter flocks of birds from gathering at the
ACUA landfill which is necessary to eliminate the risk of airborne collision due to the close proximity of the
Atlantic City International Airport.
§ My responsibilities included safe operation of a company vehicle and safe implementation of pyrotechnic
devices.
§ Bird species identification, knowledge of bird behavior and wildlife management techniques are vital skills for
this job.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
§ Purple Martin Bird Counting: Counted and handled purple martin eggs and young birds at Cape May Point
State Park during their breeding season to promote an increase in their population while protecting their nests
from house sparrows.
