1. Summary
JCY-1900 maintenance software is applications software for PCs made in the investigation of setting,
operation check, the malfunction cause at the time of shipment setting, the inspection in the factory and
the equipment, the maintenance on the ship.

1) OS
・Windows 7 ... IE9 or more, Firefox or Chrome
・Windows 8 ... IE10 or more, Firefox or Chrome

2) Assigning of IP address
In case of DHCP
Set "Obtain an IP address automatically" to maintenance PC.
In JCY-1900 VDR, DHCP server is incorporated. IP address is assigned from VDR automatically.

In case of fixed IP
Assign the following IP address and Default gateway to maintenance PC.
- IP address ... 192.168.110.200
- Subnet mask ... 255.255.255.0
- Default gateway ... 192.168.110.3

3) Connection of LAN cable


Open the door of RCU, and connect an LAN cable to the DATA port.

2. Start and End

2.1. Start
1) Start a browser, and input "192.168.110.3" into an address.
2) Input the following with Login screen.
・Name
・Company
・Password (by an all small letter "jrcvdr")

3) Home screen is displayed.

2.2. End
1) Click [Log out] to end.
[Logout]

2) Returns to Login screen. Click [X] of the screen top right corner to close browser.

3. Screen Configuration

3.1. Home Screen

Click object work tab. Setup screen is displayed for selected work.

3.1.2. Common Button


The following buttons can be used on the all screen.

3.1.2.3. [Reboot]
After setting with [Set], in order to apply the setup, rebooting is necessary. When rebooting is
necessary, [Home] blinks in red ( ), require a reboot. In such a case, click [Reboot]. When
completing reboot, [Home] returns to normal ( ).

3.1.2.4. [Mute]
When alarm occurs, a buzzer sounds in OPU. Buzzer can be stopped by clicking [Mute]. [Mute] is
light blue ( ) while mute.

Software Update tab is used for updating software of MCB, ARB and OPU.

In the List screen, configuration, diagnosis (Diagnosis lamp), Visual checking (Check lamp), entry
status (Entry lamp), alert status can be checked.

3.4. Setup Screen


Shows example of detail screen.
Click [Set] to set after inputting. After that, if [Reboot] blinks in red, click [Reboot] to reboot.

[Set] [Reboot]

If [Reboot] blinks in red, the setup is not applied. Please make sure to reboot by clicking

4. Installation Setup / Operation Check (Installation Tab)


Execute installation setup and operation check by clicking the following menu button on the
[Installation] tab.

4.1. Installation Work Flow


VDR JCY-1900 and S-VDR JCY-1950 is shipped by default setup. Therefore, installation settings for
the equipment connection configuration is required. Install VDR/S-VDR according to the following flow:

1) Download VDR initial configuration file ... See 4.2

2) Upload VDR configuration file ... See 4.3

3) Installation setup ... See 4.4 and later

4) Output report file ... See 4.9

5) Save report file to MS Web or send it by e-mail

Complete

At the time of shipment, only minimum settings have been carried out. VDR
configuration file of each ship in accordance with ship's installation configuration is
Remarks created separately, and posted on MS Web. See "4.2 Download VDR Initial
Configuration File", download the target ship's configuration file from MS Web before
boarding the ship.

After completing installation, please make sure to save report file into the ship list of MS
Remarks Web.
About REPORT function, refer to "4.9 REPORT".

4.2. Download VDR Initial Configuration File


VDR configuration file for initial setting is available on MS Web.
Contents of VDR initial configuration file is different in case of VDR and S-VDR. Details of each case
describes below.

Remarks If it's impossible to browse MS Web, contact our sales department.

In case of VDR JCY-1900


Each ship's VDR configuration file is created in accordance with the installation configuration. These
files are posted on Ship Register List in MS Web. Before boarding the ship, download the target ship's
configuration file from MS Web.

In case of S-VDR JCY-1950


VDR configuration file of each ships does not created. For instead, 6 types of VDR configuration files in
accordance with the capsules and the radar connection existence are available. These files are posted
on Product Info of JCY-1950 in MS Web. See the table below, use appropriate VDR configuration file.

If there is an abnormality in the capsule, an alert indicates on VDR.

Capsule connection unavailable ... Recorded data is not stored to the capsules.

VDR does not indicate alert about the capsule.

(*2) Radar connection available ... If no radar image is recorded, an alert indicates on VDR.

Radar connection unavailable ... VDR does not indicate the alert about radar image recording.

4.3. Upload VDR Configuration File


1) Select order of Home screen, [Installation] tab, [1. SYSTEM] and [Configuration] tab.

2) Click [Browse], and select VDR configuration file (vdrinfo.dat).


3) Click [Upload], and upload VDR configuration file to VDR.
[Browse] [Upload]

4) Dialog box that prompts VDR reboot appears. Click [OK], then reboot VDR. After that, refer to
Section 4.4 and later, execute installation setup.

In case of VDR JCY-1900


VDR configuration file that posted on MS Web is based on the installation drawing at the
time of creating. Therefore, it's sometimes different from the actual installation
configuration. Refer to Section 4.4 and later, confirm installation settings.
Remarks
In case of S-VDR JCY-1950
VDR configuration file that posted on MS Web is factory default setting, different from
the actual installation configuration. Refer to Section 4.4 and later, execute installation
setup according to the actual configuration.

4.4. SYSTEM
Select order of Home screen, [Installation] tab and [1. SYSTEM].

4.4.1. Own Ship Information


Set the peculiar information of the ship.

4.4.1.1. Ship Identification

1) Ship Name
Input the ship's name.
2) IMO No.
Input the IMO number.

3) Call Sign
Input the call sign.
4) MMSI
Input the MMSI number.
5) Type Appr.
Input the type approval number and approval country / organization as follows.
・BABT-MED000066
6) Order
Input shipping order of JRC.
7) Q'ty
Input quantity of main engine, propeller, side thruster and rudder, and distance of keel-trans. These
information are necessary for Playback software and Real Time Monitor software.

4.4.1.2. VDR Identification

1) SFI
Set VDR SFI (System Function ID). Normally it is not necessary to change.
2) HBT Output Interval
Set HBT sentence output interval. Normally it is not necessary to change.

4.4.1.3. SFI List


IP address, port number and source SFI of equipment that output IEC61162-450 compliant signal to
VDR are listed by clicking [SFI List] button. If there is a problem with the LAN connection of the
sensor/image, check whether VDR is receiving a signal from target equipment by using this function.

・After click the button, received signal is monitored for 2 minutes.


Remarks
・Received signal that VDR did not record is also displayed.

4.4.1.4. Real Time Clock Setup

Set VDR clock manually.


When ZDA sentence (date and time) is input from GPS, VDR clock is corrected automatically. Thus,
normally it is not need to set manually.

4.4.2. Replacement Parts


Set expiration date (month / year) of UPS battery, fixed capsule beacon battery, float-free capsule
beacon battery and power supply fan.

VDR counts operation time (unit: hour), and indicates it. Clear the time with [Clear] after replacing.

When expiration date comes within 1 year, ● (red) is displayed.

・Serial number of OPU is automatically obtained after booting of RCU, is displayed.


Remarks ・Serial number of SSD, Float-free Capsule and Fixed Capsule are automatically
obtained 10 minutes later after booting of RCU, are displayed.

2) Maintenance Number
Maintenance number of each equipment can be confirmed.
3) Software Updated Date
The date when software was installed is displayed.

・Protocols such as baud rates are mismatch

13) Setup is completed. Turn off power of DAU, then disconnect maintenance PC. After that,
connect DAU to JRC-LAN(Main) port of RCU.

14) If DAU No.2 or later is installed, perform initial setup in the same procedure.

4.5.4.2. DAU Setting Initialization


If it is impossible to access DAU because its IP address is unknown, initialize DAU setting by the
following procedure:

1) Short-circuiting 2-3 pin of jumper TB13, then turn on power of DAU.

2) Check that LED CD48 is lit in red. Then, turn off power of DAU.

3) Restore jumper TB13 (short-circuiting 1-2 pin or all open), then turn on power of DAU again. LED
CD48 is lit in red, but it is not a problem.

4) Refer to "4.5.4.1 DAU Initial Setup", perform DAU initial setup.

5) After setup has been completed, reboot DAU. Then, check that LED CD48 is lit in green.

Remarks In the above procedure, MAC address of DAU is not initialized.

Set serial sensor that connected to DAU. DAU can be connected up to 10CH serial sensor. To start

4.5.4.4. Gyro-I/F Connection Setup


Set Gyro I/F which is attachment of DAU. To start detail setup, click [Detail...]. Detail setup screen
opens.
[Detail...]

"Gyro Interface" can only select as Sensor Type. After setting, contents of [Recording Data] tab are
automatically set.

The other setting procedure is same as the case of LAN connection equipment. See "4.5.3 LAN
Connection Setup".
Input Gyro I/F SFI set in "4.5.4.1 DAU Initial Setup" in Source SFI. Standard setting is listed in the

4.5.4.5. Gyro I/F Initial Setup


If Gyro I/F is connected, alert "Gyro I/F uninitialization" occurs until entering the initial value of the
heading. In accordance with the following procedure, set initial heading to Gyro I/F.

1) Tap Gyro I/F icon on OPU.

Remarks Gyro I/F icon of OPU is displayed only when Gyro I/F connection of DAU is enabled.

2) Initial heading setup screen opens. Using the keypad, set the indicated value of gyro compass to
Gyro setting column.

3) After the vessel was turning round, check that the value of Monitor column is approximately
equal to the indicated value of gyro compass. If significantly different, carry out 2) again.

If alert is not released in spite of set initial value of the heading, check whether Receive

In order to collect maintenance information from JRC equipments, connection setup for Remote
Maintenance is necessary.
・Connection method: Serial, LAN(IEC61162-450) or LAN(RMS-LAN)
・Number of equipment: Up to 32 equipments

Setup method is different by connection interface. Refer to "Annex 1 Connection

When collect remote maintenance information via MFD SLC, set the equipment as LAN

4.5.7.3. Sensor Source Setting


In Sensor Identification tab of LAN Sensor setting screen, when [Advanced] check turns ON, Sensor
Source column will be displayed. "Single" or "Multiple" can be selected.

1) Sensor Source "Single"


If 1 equipment assign 1 CH, select "Single" in Sensor Source, then set Source SFI and Destination
SFI. Source SFI can be registered up to 4. If in case that SFI changes during INS operation, set
multiple source SFI.

2) Sensor Source "Multiple"


When integrating multiple equipments and handling them as 1 CH, select "Multiple" in Sensor
Source and set in Sensor Equipments.
For Sensor Equipments, it is possible to select the equipment already set in LAN Sensor. Duplicate
and integrate the sentence received by each equipment set here, and record it on the CH set in
"4.5.7.2 INS Connection Setting". At this time, if a sentence is input from any one of the
equipments set in Sensor Equipments, no alert sent without sentence will be generated.

In case there is the Main equipment and the Backup equipment, the Backup equipment may output
a sentence only when the Main equipment cannot communicate.In this case, since the Backup
equipment does not output a sentence in the normal state, the following installation setting should
be done.

・Set up an equipment to be CCRS(Main) for LAN No. 1

10. Maintenance Software


You can download and play back record data, change setup of option unit and view of various log with
Maintenance software.

10.1. Installing Maintenance Software

10.1.1. How to Install


Install the Maintenance software in a PC in accordance with the following procedure.

The Instruction of how to install:


・In order to install Maintenance software, always login PC as administrator, and execute
the installation.
・Depending on the bit number of your computer,
Run "JCY-1900_setup_vx.x.xx_32bit.exe" or "JCY-1900_setup_vx.x.xx_64bit.exe" in the
folder by left-clicking it, then the following confirmation screen for execution displays.

How to check the bit number (32-bit or 64-bit) of computer.


Remarks 「Control Panel」→「System」→「System Type」

Press [Yes] button, then the installer starts up.

(1) The preparation for the installation are started.

After that, though the following screen is displayed, click [OK] button, and close the
screen.

Even if the above screens are displayed, install is complete correctly.

10.3.1. Registration of Sentence Data Converted from Dry Contact Signal


Sentence data are set up to each channel which accepts dry contact signal.

● Connection CH
Select a channel which is connected to the dry contact signal.

● State of a dry contact signal

The condition of the equipment shown by OPEN/CLOSE of a dry contact signal is set up.

1) Alarm
Select the inputting dry contact state (OPEN/CLOSE) when the connected equipment is in
normal state.

2) Door
Select the inputting dry contact state (OPEN/CLOSE) when the connected door is open.

● creating a sentence data

Select each factor which constitutes the sentence data.

1) Dry contact information


Select the dry contact information from the pull-down menu of each category according to
the connected signal.

Although categories are prepared from 0 to 3, the number of category to be set up is


automatically determined by the selected data.
Be sure to select a dry contact information from the pull-down menu which can be set up.
An unnecessary setup category is not selectable.

The tree structure displayed on the left screen shows the dry contact inputs that can be
registered.

2) Identification number of a dry contact


A signal of the same kind must be identified by respective number.
Select the identification number listed in the pull-down menu.

Be careful not to double select an identification number otherwise the same sentence data
will be created

3) Comment
Each sentence can be followed by a comment.

Add a comment to each sentence by which a service engineer recognizes what the signal is.

4) Registering sentence data


Click the [SET] button when all categories are selected and comment is inputted.
The sentence is created according to the contents of selection and is added to the setup file.

10.3.2. Deleting and Editing a Sentence Data Registered


The sentence registered into the setup file can be deleted.

1) Selecting a sentence
Double click the sentence displayed on the list.
The CH number for deletion is displayed.

2) Deleting a sentence
Click the [Delete] button.

3) Editing a sentence
Set up a new sentence data after deletion.

On the selecting menu, all the signals of an engine telegraph position can be registered.
The contact signal actually connected must be all selected.
Check the connection signal.

Select the connection CH of NCT-72/63 from the pull-down menu.

4) Selecting the state of dry contact signal


Select a state of the dry contact signal (Open/Close) at "Active state".

The NMEA sentence for engine telegraph is registered.

1) ETL sentence identification number


Select the identification number in case of registering two or more ETL sentences.
When registering only one sentence, "01" as a default must be selected. To regist two or more
sentences, select the total number. It can set up from "01" to "04."

2) Registering sentence data


Click the [SET] button.
The ETL sentence is registered.

10.4. Setting of Frame Grabber Unit NWP-69 (FGBUTIL)


Maintenance software can change IP address, setup and adjustment of Frame Grabber Unit (FGU).

10.4.1. About New FGB


Releases the new FGB for the device discontinue. The model name is changed CKA-137A to
CKA-137B. No change the function and specification. But the capture setting file format is changed.
1) No change the function/ specification/ external form
2) Same as transmit command
3) Same as IP address management
4) Different for capture setting files.
(The board distinction method is explained the capture setting section.)

10.4.2. Changing of IP Address


Though FGU can be connected to JRC LAN (192.168.60.xxx or 172.16.60.xxx), "192.168.110.151"
of IP address is assigned by factory setup. So, please change IP address for JCY-1900 according
to the following procedure.
At first, connects FGU from JRC LAN port to RSV port of RCU and changes IP address.
After that, returns FGU connection to JRC LAN port. (Figure 10.1 ①→②)

10.4.3. Capture Setting / Tuning


The setup menu has Board setup function with the aid of capture setup file and other file. The
tuning menu allows maintainer to tune sync polarity, horizontal/vertical synchronization and sampling
phase.

For proper capture setting, check the Radar image specifications (VESA format only) first then verify
the following items.
Resolution: (e.g. 1280x1024)
Vertical synchronous signal frequency (Refresh rate): (e.g. 60 Hz)
Horizontal synchronous signal frequency: (e.g. 75 kHz)
Polarity of Vertical synchronous signal: (e.g. Positive or Negative)
Polarity of Horizontal synchronous signal: (e.g. Positive or Negative)

a) Click [Information (I)] -> [ADC status] menu.
"ADC.txt response" window appears.

b) Click the [No] button.

c) Check the H sync polarity.


If the measured H sync polarity is the same as that of the setup, go to the next section.
If not, go to d).

d) Click the [Tuning (T)] -> [H Sync polarity reverse]


The following message appears.

The click reverses the H sync polarity and captures the image. Then the following message

f) Click the [OK] button.

g) Have a look on the [ADC status] menu, and check that the measured H sync polarity is the same
as that of the setup.

Regarding the V sync polarity, follow the same procedure using [V Sync polarity reverse] menu.

10.4.3.7. Horizontal position tuning


If the captured image is shifted horizontally, tune the Horizontal position. If the captured
image has been shifted greatly, tune by the mouse. If the shift is small go to the manual (fine)
tuning.

10.4.3.8. Vertical position tuning


If the captured image is shifted vertically, practice the Vertical position tuning. If the captured
image has large shift, tune by the mouse. If the shift is small, tune manually. The vertical
position tuning procedure is the same as that of Horizontal position tuning. Use the [Vertical
POSI. Mouse] or [Vertical POSI. Manual] menu, and refer to Horizontal position tuning
procedure.

10.4.3.9. Sampling Phase tuning


If the captured image is out of focus, tune the sampling phase to achieve the best sharpness.
Normally, go to Phase AUTO tuning. A phase AUTO tuning is practiced on still image, stop
the transmission of Radar.

11.4. Installing of ID Programmer Software (PR40)

11.4.1. How to Install


Install the ID Programmer software in a PC in accordance with the following procedure.

The Instruction of how to install:


・In order to install ID Programmer software, always login PC as administrator, and
execute the installation.
・Run "PR40_setup_vxxx.exe" in the folder by left-clicking it, then the following
confirmation screen for execution displays.

Remarks Press [Yes] button, then the installer starts up.

(1) The preparation for the installation is started.

(2) The Install Shield Wizard for ID Programmer software starts, and click [Next] button.

(3) Select Typical, and click [Next] button.

11.4.2. How to Install USB Serial Driver Software

When using ID Programmer in Windows8, it is necessary to install USB serial driver


software for Windows8.
Remarks
After connecting ID Programmer to USB port, install the driver software according to the
following procedure.

(1) Right–click "Computer" on desktop or start menu, select "Manage".
