Murder on the Orient Express

I chose book Murder on the Orient Express. This is novel by Agahta Christie. And
now I will tell you the plot, it is very complicated so If you won´t understand all of
what I going to say, it doesn´t matter.

Detective Hercule Poirot is returning to England aboard the Orient Express. During the
journey, Poirot meets his friend Signor Bianchi who is a director of the Compagnie
Internationale des Wagons-Lits, which owns the line. The train is unusually crowded for
this time of year: every first-class has been booked. The morning after the train's
departure from Istanbul, a rich American businessman, Ratchett, tries to secure Poirot's
services for $15,000 since he has received many death threats, but Poirot finds the case
of little interest and turns it down. That night the train is caught in heavy snows in the
Balkans. The next morning Ratchett is found stabbed to death in his cabin.
Poirot and Bianchi work together to solve the case. They have the help of Dr.
Constantine, a Greek medical doctor who was travelling in another coach with Bianchi as
the only other passenger and he is not a suspect. Pierre Michel, is the middle-aged
French conductor of the train, also assists the investigation, as well as being a suspect.
Poirot soon discovers that Ratchett wasn't who he claimed to be and his secret past
indicates a clear motive for his murder.
This was something about murder, now I going to tell you clues, but you won´t
hear all of clues.

Dr. Constantine said that Ratchett was stabbed 12 times. Some wounds were slight, but
at least three of them could have resulted in death. The stopped watch in the victim's
pocket, indicate that Ratchett was murdered at about 1:15 a.m. The train had stopped,
surrounded by fresh snow, before that time. There are no tracks in the snow and the
doors to the other wagon were locked, so the murderer is certainly here in this wagon
where murder was happend.
Poirot discovers that Ratchett's real name was Cassetti, and he is a mafia gangster who
five years before plant the kidnapping of Daisy Armstrong, daughter of a rich  British
Army Colonel. The kidnappers want lots of money instead of baby; but after they got the
money, instead of returning the child, they murdered her. A maidservant named Paulette
who was wrongly suspected of being involved in the kidnapping, committed suicide,
only to be found after she took her life. Colonel Armstrong, later killed himself as well.

So, this man who was murder in train, he was plant the kidnapping of baby. So,all of
passinger have some blood releationship with baby, and all of this 12 people want kill
Ratchett and revenge baby´s death. Only Poirot, his friend Bianchini and doctor don´t
have some relationship with familly.
Something about suspects.

After finishing his investigation, Poirot calls all the suspects in the dining wagon to
present his solution of the crime. He has formulated two possible scenarios to explain
the murder. The first, which he calls the simple solution, is based on several clues which
suggest that the murder of Ratchett/Cassetti was the result of a mafia feud. Poirot
deduces that these clues have been planted by the suspects to mislead the investigation.
Then Poirot analyzes his second solution –and this second solution is more complex of
first one— according to every passenger of the train, including the conductor Michel, has
a link to the Armstrong case, thus having motive for the murder.
Ratchett was sedated by one lady. Each of the passengers then stabbed him in turn.
When Poirot finishes his explanation, everyone in the wagon are guilty. Poirot suggests
that Bianchi should choose which explanation they should present to the police: the
simple or the complex one. Bianchi decides that this "simple" solution will be more than
enough for the local police and that Ratchett deserved everything he got. Poirot agrees
with the decision, and he will present his report to the police. The train becomes free of
the snow and starts on its way.

I chose book like that because I like reading about crimes and how I read the plot,
in my head I trie to solve crime and find suspects. I don´t like boring book like
Zlocin i kazna, cause in beging of the book we found out who the suspect is, so this
isn´t interesting. Also i don´t like book with love topic, because all of this book
have the same plot. Also i like book about some historical facts, some mystery
whitch haven´t been discovered until now.
