MODULE 4 ACTIVITY
1.What were the different responses of the native people that Magellan encountered?
The responses of the native Filipinos were mixed when Magellan came in the Philippine
archipelagos. There are Filipinos that welcomed them but there are also didn’t want or not
responded to their wants like the blood compact that disagreed by one of the Datus that caused
war and also cause death for Magellan. 
2.How did Spain establish itself in the Philippines?
Spanish colonialism started and started to when the Spaniards came in our country on
February 15, 1565. He started to established the first permanent settlement in Cebu. Much of
the archipelago came in the Spanish rule creating the first unified political structure known as
the Philippines. They came to our country to spread the Christianity.
5.What were the instruction of the Royal Audencia to Legaspi?
This person was the first governor of our beloved country, from 1565 until his death. In
1570 they sent an expedition to the northern islands of Luzon, Arriving there himself the next
year.
4. Explain the situation of the Philippines at the point of contact with Spain.
Spain developed and maintained a monopoly over the transpacific trade route. The
trade became primary reason for the existence of the Philippines. Development of the archipelago was
largely neglected. The most important source of goods for the Spanish in Philippines was China.
